STUNNING BRIDE AT OLD FORT NIAGARA

Look at this amazing image of Heather at Old Fort Niagara!

Heather and Clay were married in July at the Youngstown Yacht Club. They did their photos inside of Old Fort Niagara. Heather grew up close to the entrance of the Fort so it was personal that they went there for photos! Neal shot this wedding with another assistant, as I had my own wedding that day. I still took a quick look through Heather and Clay's images though.

And I am so happy I did! Heather looks stunning! I know she is walking/running away from the camera, but I still love it. It was super bright out as you can see. This is one of the tunnels in the Fort. Neal had her go toward the light. You would think she would have been super blown out because of her white dress. The material was so lightweight, that Heather could carry it no problem on her own. The way she held it helped to catch shadows and create detail in her dress and not wash her out. The tunnel sometimes acts as a wind tunnel so it creates beautiful movement in dresses and veils.

Simply beautiful!

A lot more to come from Heather and Clay's wedding!

A DIFFERENT VIEW AT DELAWARE PARK

Let's take a look at one more image from Kate and Vinny's engagement session at Delaware Park.

Like I mentioned yesterday, the Park was super busy. When we walked toward the stone bridge area, another photographer was already there doing some family portraits. We wanted to be courteous, so we went to the other side to stay out of each others way. At popular locations, you can always run into someone else shooting. That's when we all need to work together and respect each others shoot.

We chose to shoot a different angle for this shot. Most of the time, you see couples standing in front of the bridge. It is a pretty shot. But, the other photographer and couple would have been in the frame. Time to shake it up a little! We see a glimpse of the bridge in the background which is great!

In this image, we got a bit of everything. There are flowers, trees, plants, vines, the stone bridge, and the lovely couple in their tie dye shirts! It was a great way to change up a common location in the Park!

ENGAGEMENT AT DELAWARE PARK

We had a great engagement shoot last night with Kate and Vinny!

We did their shoot all around Delaware Park to start. It was super busy at the Park, so we ventured into areas off the beaten path. Just like this one here! We had Kate and Vinny walk into the woods a little. It was pretty bright (and super humid haha). This spot looked really nice with the natural backlight and darker foreground. Neal was kind of spying in on them for this one too!

Kate and Vinny were so fun! Vinny had us laughing the whole time. He was so funny. He was not afraid to be himself either. This was great for photos! We had amazing reactions from Kate! Their interaction was awesome!

We can't wait until their wedding next year!

GUYS AT TIFT NATURE PRESERVE

Late post on a Monday. We were out of town and the internet decided not to work so well this morning. So, here we are now!

Here are Matthew and his guys at Tifft Nature Preserve. So, for the guys we needed to find a spot that was a little more manly than the Preserve. Lucky for us, there is an overpass that leads into the area. Neal took the guys "under the overpass" to take advantage of the stone work. He had the guys all stand casually, but with a serious face. They did a great job with the serious look too. Most people start laughing when we ask for no smiles (which is not often). They nailed it. I love the little guy and his pose is perfect!

ENGAGEMENT SESSION AT NIAGARA SQUARE

Happy Friday everyone! Here is another image from Kaitlyn and Dan's engagement session!

This was from the start of their shoot at Niagara Square. Niagara Square has so much to offer. Besides, the architecture, there are amazing flowers surrounding the whole square. We were a little nervous that the flowers and plants might not look so good because of the lack of rain. However, the colors were so vibrant. There was actually a woman watering them during the shoot!

We had Kaitlyn and Dan stand on one side of the flowers and we were on the other. It was a little breezy out, so we had to sway with the wind to make sure the flowers were not covering their faces.

Kaitlyn and Dan were great to work with. They have an amazing connection. They were laughing the whole time. We got natural smiles and tons of fun! We can't wait for their wedding next year!

ENGAGEMENT SESSION ON THE WATER

We had such a fun engagement session with Kaitlyn and Dan the other night. We started off at Niagara Sqaure and ended up around the Canalside area.

While walking around Canalside, the sun was beginning to set and the color of the sky was so pretty. We started walking toward the water and away from the hustle and bustle of the area. Well, little did we know, while passing the Naval Yard, it was a "Pokemon Go" party of people. I have never seen so many people on cell phones in my life, all walking around with their faces in ther phones!

Anyway, after making our way through the gamers, we made it to the boardwalk. Neal told Kaitlyn and Dan what he wanted for the shot and where to stand. Well, of course some tourists taking photos stood right where we needed to be. They were trying to take a giant selfie. Dan, being such a nice guy, offers to take the photo for them. They were so thankful. Little did they know, we really just needed them to move, before the colors in the sky vanished.

And here we are! We ended Kaitlyn and Dan's shoot with this gorgeoue image. And no, those are not bugs in the back. A giant flock of seagulls happened to fly behind them right as Neal started clicking! Enjoy!

GOTHAM CITY BRIDE & GROOM PART 2

We are back with part 2 of Jill and Matthew's wedding at this amazing building!

As you saw yesterday, if you joined us, Neal absolutely loves this building. And we have never had the opportunity to use it for a wedding. Jill and Matthew fit this style perfectly!

During their reception at Pearl St. Grill and Brewery, we took Jill and Matthew out for some photos. Neal had already scoped out the area and knew exactly where he wanted to go. It was just a little walk from Pearl St.

This image is in the same series you saw yesterday. Same set up and same location. It is just closer up on Jill and Matthew. You still get the awesome feel of the building too! This is one thing I love about certain locations. You can create so many different looks in the same area. This was definitely one of those times!

FAMILY SHOOT FRIDAY

During the week, we had such a fun shoot with this lovely family! We did their photos at Fort Niagara State Park.

We had amazing weather. The heat and humidity died down and there was a great breeze. Thank goodness! We all met in one area and jumped around to different areas of the Park. We had some rustic style areas, as well as giant trees that line almost every inch of the Park. Then we headed down to the beach for some sunset photos.

This was one of my favorite images. After clearing away some spider webs, we had the family have a seat, helped with some posing and we made the family laugh to get some real smiles. Everyone was very photogenic, they made our jobs very easy. Enjoy!

ALLEGANY STATE PARK BRIDE & GROOM

Jennie and Brock are back! One last photo from their wedding at Allegany State Park.

During the reception, Jennie mentioned a place they would like to sneak off to for photos really quick. We all jumped in the car and headed to this lake. My favorite part, was there were people in a canoe on the lake. Little did they know, they would be in the photo. They actually were tying to paddle out of the way. We positioned Jennie and Brock, so they the canoe would make the photo.

I loved it! I wanted to capture Jennie and Brock in the moment. Editing the canoe out would have changed the whole atmosphere of the photo. Jennie and Brock looked amazing. And we are in their outdoor style element. They are both into hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities. So, the Park was the perfect place for their wedding. I am so happy they wanted to do some quick photos in this area!

BUFFALO SUNSET MATERNITY

I couldn't resist posting one more from Lindsey and Cory's maternity session at Woodlawn Beach State Park.

Would you look at this! Amazing sky, amazing light rays, amazing flowy dress, amazing couple! I can go on and on but it is too gorgeous for words. I love how intimate this pose is too. All hands and eyes on the belly, with Lindsey and Cory nice and close.

Since the sun was dropping pretty fast, we did need some extra light on their faces and bodies. But other than that, the back drop was all there!
