Friday Night Lights!

Katie and Matt are getting married! September of 2018!

We had an amazing engagement session this past Friday night! We started off at Fort Niagara State Park and got some gorgeous portraits by the water! Then we headed to Sal Maglie Stadium! Now if you played Hyde Park Baseball, you definitely know this Stadium. This part of the session was at about 10:30 at night! We waited for a game to finish and then we took the field!

Look how cute Katie and Matt are! They had baseball jerseys made with the last name and date on the back. This was such a playful shoot! Matt plays baseball and is a big fan of the Yankees! (As you can see from the color of the jerseys.)

I love everything about this image. This has always been a style of shoot Neal has wanted to do, but never had the opportunity. When Matt & Katie said they wanted to incorporate baseball jerseys, Neal tossed the stadium at night idea and they just happened to have a connection to make it a reality! Thank you Mary Jo & Neal from Sal Maglie Stadium for making this happen

ENGAGEMENT SESSION AT THE JAPANESE GARDENS

One last image (for now) from Nadeen and Gino's engagement session. This was also done at the Japanese Gardens. Just a bit off the beaten path.

We love Japanese Maple Trees. So, it was so great to see these giant Maple Trees in bloom. Look at the color! Nadeen and Gino look perfect in front of them. This image was just fun and no direction at all. It was the two of them in their own moment! With such a pretty back drop. I even love the lamp post off to the side!

I can't wait for their wedding in October!

A WALK IN THE PARK

Here's an image from Nadeen and Gino's engagement session at the Buffalo History Museum and Japanese Gardens!

We wanted to incorporate the cherry blossoms, but also the Museum. Why not a simple "walk in the park". We had Nadeen and Gino walk along the path, while we shot below the hill. It was a great angle to capture everything!

They look so cute and lot of fun interaction!

Williamsville Private Residence Engagement

Here is another gorgeous image from Kristen and Chris's engagement shoot at a private residence.

I really really like this image. Yes, it was super cold, but the sun was out. I love the the rays of light and hazy color from the sun pouring through. It looks so pretty with the setting and red color of Kristen's shirt. The stone walls and rod iron fence also add to the beauty of this image.

Kristen and Chris were so great to photograph. We were all having such a fun time. I like this simple smile for the camera pose for this. This is definitely one of those photos that would look great on the wall!

We can't wait until June to photograph Kristen and Chris's wedding!

Glen Falls Winter Engagement

Hello everyone! I know I missed posting this past Thursday and Friday. I was feeling under the weather and was told I needed to rest. Neal always tells me I need to relax and rest. If you know me, I do not rest, even when I am sick. I have a hard time relaxing for more than an hour. But, I felt I needed to catch this cold before it got worse. And I do feel better! Thanks Neal!

So, on the absolute coldest day in January (so far), we photographed Kristen and Chris's engagement session. The high that day was 14 degrees!  We went to a private residence, with an amazing view. We were planning to do photos inside. But, once we saw the view and surrounding area, we ventured outside really quick for some shots. We lucked out that it snowed the day before and made the grounds look even better!

We were so happy there were a ton of pine trees in the area. We didn't have to worry about bare branches on the trees. And we got some great color.

So, here were are with Kristen and Chris! Don't you just love it! You can't even tell they were freezing! They were keeping each other nice and warm! We got some amazing images that day!

A STROLL DOWN DELAWARE

I love this image from Christine and Ron's engagement session. This is the true Christine!

Christine was laughing the entire time. And her laugh was so contagious. We had Christine and Ron walk hand and hand down Delaware Ave near Niagara Square. No posing, no direction. Just a nice simple walk and conversation. They did this in one take as well!

From the start of the shoot, Christine was laughing. Everytime she looked at Ron, she would crack up! And for no reason. We loved this. Such amazing reactions from both Christine and Ron. They were such naturals.

WATERFRONT ENGAGEMENT SESSION

I know this is titled waterfront engagement. You are asking, "Where is the water?" At the Erie Basin Marina area, there are a row of birch trees. So, technically we are at the waterfront.

These trees are too pretty not to have in photos. With some added back light, we got this beautiful image of Christine and Ron. It was so cold that day and even colder by the water. We had to have them snuggle up super close to stay warm and toasty!

NIAGARA SQUARE ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Happy Friday! We hope everyone is ready for the weekend!

Having a December engagement session, does not guarantee snow. It also does not guarantee leaves on trees. It does however, still make for great photos!

Christine and Ron were in luck! The tall grass was still tall and blowing in the wind in Niagara Square. It was a great spot for some fun photos. So much interaction between Christine and Ron. I love the laughs! I even like the bare trees. I think they create a fun back drop!

DOWNTOWN ENGAGEMENT SESSION

We recently did Christine and Ron's engagement session in Downtown Buffalo. And of course it had to be super cold outside. But we had so much fun!

We started their shoot at Niagara Square and Buffalo City Hall. We headed toward Statler City for a quick street shot. This back ground is always so cool. I love all of the street lights. And people always honk their horns at the happy couple! In a good way hahhah!

I have to say, Christine and Ron did so good. It can't be easy to do something like this with so many cars and people watching as they go by!

SILHOUETTE ON THE WATERFRONT

One last image from Keith and Dana's engagement session. After finishing up at the Ellicott Square Building, we headed down to the Erie Basin Marina for some sunset photos.

Keith and Dana changed into some comfy and casual clothes for this part. Good thing too! It was starting to get a bit chilly. The sun was setting and the colors in the sky were looking amazing. This was a perfect moment for some silhouette action! I love Dana's little pop of the knee.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
