BRIDE AT HAYLOFT IN THE GROVE

We are back with Sarah at Hayloft in the Grove!

I thought this image was pretty fun! You know mirrors and reflections with Neal! I love the round mirror! It's not often we get fun style mirrors.

There isn't much to say about this haha! I think it's pretty self explanatory, but I wanted to share! I will say, when doing reflections, placement of the couple is important. Sometimes they do take a few minutes to get perfect!

SOLO BRIDE AT ALRIGHT KNOX ART GALLERY

Welcome back Laura and Ian! Well just Laura!

I love this solo shot of Laura. She looks absolutely stunning! This was taken at Albright Knox Art Gallery! The funny thing about this image, was that it wasn't even planned or posed. I was originally working with Ian and the guys and I saw Laura strutting her stuff on a ledge of the gallery! I turned and started snapping away. Once I saw how pretty everything was looking, I had to take a time out from Ian. I then gave Laura a little direction and had her glance off into the distance.

This image was great because Laura was just having fun! As photographers, we always have to have eyes everywhere. I know it sounds creepy, but never lose site of the bride or groom. You never know what may happen. In this case, still having eyes on the Laura, created a beautiful image!

STUNNING BRIDE AT OLD FORT NIAGARA

Look at this amazing image of Heather at Old Fort Niagara!

Heather and Clay were married in July at the Youngstown Yacht Club. They did their photos inside of Old Fort Niagara. Heather grew up close to the entrance of the Fort so it was personal that they went there for photos! Neal shot this wedding with another assistant, as I had my own wedding that day. I still took a quick look through Heather and Clay's images though.

And I am so happy I did! Heather looks stunning! I know she is walking/running away from the camera, but I still love it. It was super bright out as you can see. This is one of the tunnels in the Fort. Neal had her go toward the light. You would think she would have been super blown out because of her white dress. The material was so lightweight, that Heather could carry it no problem on her own. The way she held it helped to catch shadows and create detail in her dress and not wash her out. The tunnel sometimes acts as a wind tunnel so it creates beautiful movement in dresses and veils.

Simply beautiful!

A lot more to come from Heather and Clay's wedding!

THREE LOOKS, ONE LOCATION

Gorgeous Jill!

Jill and Matthew got married a few weeks ago at Pearl Street Grill and Brewery. They also got ready at Pearl at the Webb Hotel. The hotel has amazing rooms for photos. The lighting and textures are great.

For this, we decided to show a series of three images. Jill is sitting on the window ledge and Neal had her do three different looks! Even though Jill never moved her body, each photo is different. And stunning!

When there is great lighting at a location, it is better to take advantage and stay there. You can do so many different simple poses in a short amount of time as well! I can't wait to see this series of images in their wedding album!

STATLER CITY BRIDE

We had the pleasure of photographing Kristin and Jared's wedding over the weekend. Their ceremony and reception were at Statler City!

This was the first time we did a ceremony at the Statler. It was pretty cool. They held it on the 2nd level mezzanine. This was taken after the ceremony in the mezzanine! The family and wedding party dispersed to cocktail hour and I pulled Kristin aside to get this quick shot!

I loved the arches and chandeliers from this view. Kristin looked amazing framed in the arches with the giant chandelier behind her. I had Kristin pose to the side with her flowers and look down. Then I ran down the hall to take the shot. I really like the glow from the chandelier as it perectly frames Kristin.

Now, you may be wondering why I haven't mentioned Neal yet. This was the first wedding he assisted me on. Yes, assisting me! Neal didn't have a wedding of his own and we gave our other assistants the weekend off. We were running low on time after the ceremony so I asked him to start shooting the details in the reception room while I created this shot with Kristin!

Congratulations to Kristin and Jared!

Buffalo Bridal Portrait

Good morning Monday! Back to work! I bring to you today, a stunning image of Sarah!

This was taken by Neal before I even started to work with him! I do know some of the back story though! Sarah got ready at her parents home. The window was open in the room that she was getting ready in. Neal noticed there was a nice breeze coming in and the curtains were flowing beautiful.

At first glance, it looks like Sarah's veil is flowing. It is actually the curtains flowing in the breeze. Neal had her take a look out the window and let the curtains do the rest. I think Sarah just looks amazing! I wish I was there working on this one. I joined a few months after this wedding!

A BRIDE AND A SHADOW!

And now for Ryan's lovely wife, Lisa!

This was taken at the Buffalo Waterfront. As you can see from the shadow, it was a pretty sunny day. We originally had Lisa against this wall by herself. Ryan was casually walking behind us and we noticed his shadow on the cement. After getting Ryan's shadow into place, we posed Lisa.

Lisa's pose is really simple. What made this more exciting, was Ryan was talking to her. She kept her head to the side the entire time, looking toward Ryan's shadow. But she was laughing the entire time! Look at those dimples!

This image is so much fun!

WINDY DAY IN BUFFALO

Here is Jaclyn on her wedding day back in September of 2010.  This was in an alley outside of Pearl Street Grill and Brewery.

Most of you already know Jaclyn and Tim from Neal's amazing hurricane photo at Buffalo's waterfront. This was taken after we left the waterfront and headed to their reception at Pearl Street.

The wind was still crazy out, but Jaclyn was willing to be outside for a bit longer. We worked with the ladies first and then kept Jaclyn. We were surrounded by a giant brick building. It was a great back drop. Her veil was still soaring as well. We had her pose right against the brick wall. Then we let nature take it's course. Her veil took off. Luckily, it wasn't as windy as the waterfront. We didn't need someone to hold onto it.

You can tell by the reaction on her face that she was having a great time. Even though the weather didn't cooperate, Jaclyn still looked stunning. And their photos turned out amazing! It was a wedding that we will not forget!

A BRIDE'S MOMENT ALONE

A few weeks ago, you saw a image of Melanie and Rich on their gorgeous wedding day! Here is a beautiful solo image of Melanie after she had gotten ready.

She got ready at her family home. There was this really cool closet with a window in it. There was great light coming in. We moved in an old wooden and chair and had Melanie have a seat. Then we asked her to glance out the window. Pretty simple right. Well it was actually a bit difficult. There were some trees outside and they were casting some shadows on Melanie’s face. We did need to move her around a little to get rid of them. Once we found the perfect placement, it was awesome!

LEWISTON LOWER NIAGARA RIVER BRIDE

Not long ago, you got to see Kellie in her amazing foyer image. You didn’t get to see her face in that photo, so we decided to bring her back in a different angle.

She looks so beautiful here. The sun was out and made her dress and head piece glow. We had her walk to the end of the dock and glance down at her flowers. I love the colors going on in this image too. The blue water was shimmering and the touch of purple in her flowers looked so pretty. Gorgeous Kellie!
