PARK COUNTRY CLUB BRIDE

Merry Christmas Eve! Here is Erica! She is just stunning. And her dress was amazing!

Look at that train! I was in heaven! After clearing out an entire room of furniture and toys at Park Country Club, we were ready for Erica to get in her dress. There was a doorway that lead out onto the roof and we asked her to stand right in the middle. There was great light coming in from the windows and door. Erica is amazing at posing. We didn't even need to direct her. She stepped up and we were good to go.

There is so much detail in her dress and I love how you can see it all. Perfect dress,  perfect pose and perfect bride!

Hanging out with the locals of Puerto Vallarta!

Isn't this just too cool! Silvia and Joe in the middle of downtown Puerto Vallarta, Mexico!

After we finished up with the wedding party, we walked around the city a bit to see what fun things we could find. We put them right in the middle of everyday living of the city. It was awesome! The corner market was busy with people and full of bright and colorful merchandise. Why not put Silvia and Joe in there somewhere. 

We wanted to see how the locals were going to react when we added Joe and Silvia into the mix. They were great! They clapped and gave their congratulations, then pretty much went about their day haha. But you have to love the man in the background waving! We did not notice that during the actual shot. So, it was so great to see it while going through the images. And Silvia and Joe were in their own world, not getting distracted. Perfect!

It was so much fun being in the mix of Puerto Vallarta and capturing Silvia and Joe's wedding, as well as the culture of the city.

FIRST LOOK AT HOTEL AT THE LAFAYETTE

Melissa and Mary had their wedding and reception at Hotel at the Lafayette. Their ceremony room looked amazing and we thought it would be great for them to have a first look there.

We had Melissa up front near the altar with her back to the aisle. Then had Mary walk in through the drapery. It was so beautiful! Mary has such a big smile walking in. Melissa is just patiently waiting. As Mary made her way in, we had Melissa turn around. It was so emotional as well. They were both laughing and crying all at the same time.

I also love the colors in the room. They had a pink ombre color scheme. You can see it in the flowers, but if you look close, the chairs are different shades of pink as well. Great idea!

We love when couples decide to do a first look. This means they see each other for the first time before their actual ceremony. This is a nice intimate moment between them. They get to talk to each other and find out how each others day went so far. They just get some quality time together before the craziness begins. We love capturing these photos!

LEWISTON ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Sorry for the delay folks! Today was the first Saturday since our season began, that we have off. I slept in!

Here we are in Lewiston NY for Kristin and John engagement session. The Christmas lights were up around the village and we decided to walk around. We had to stop at this house. We had Kristin and John in the walkway, Neal taking the shot from across the street and me doing lighting. Now, it was pretty busy that night and a lot of traffic. Neal was yelling directions to me, I was yelling back, and Kristin and John were laughing. It couldn't have went better.!

When Neal joined us again, Kristin said there were rocking chairs on the porch and could they sit on them. We were not sure if this was a private residence or a business. Neal started to check it out and came back with a "Yeah there is a man watching us from the front door." We'll take that as get out haha.

PEEK-A-BOO MATTHEW

Matthew is back and messy with his first birthday cake smash in Neal Urban Studio!

After doing our teacher/school style set up, we switched up some things to bring in a cake. Matthew had a Mickey Mouse birthday party, so he was dressed in his little outfit and hat. Isn't he just the cutest little guy you have ever seen in that outfit.

Matthew continued to be such a happy camper for this part as well. He went to town and dug right into his cake all by himself. We all started to play peek-a-boo with him behind the camera. Picture 4 adults, all hiding behind one another and popping out saying peek-a-boo in extremely high voices. This is what happened! Matthew decided to play right along with us. I love how his hands are covered in cake too! This is one of my favorite cake smash photos!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY MATTHEW!

Matthew came to celebrate his first birthday with Neal Urban Studio for a photo shoot!

We love having this family at the studio. We took Matthews parents', Katie and Chad's engagement and wedding photos as well. Then newborn! We are full circle! Katie and Chad are both teachers, so we wanted to incorporate that somehow into the photos. I think we did a great job!

Matthew was such a happy little guy. He was smiling and laughing the entire time! We all sang some Patty Cake, and said a lot of "You are so big!" And that was the keeper! Right when Katie asked Matthew how big he was, his hands went right up in the air. And he still held onto his blocks!

Wait until we bring in the cake!

GOLFING WITH THE GUYS IN MEXICO

While shooting a wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Neal was invited to play golf with the guys at the Vista Vallarta Golf Club. It was designed by Jack Nicklaus.

Neal brought his camera to document the round of golf. A few action shots and some portraits too. Look at how awesome this course was! The mountains in the background were amazing! This was such a great experience for Neal. As you know, one of his passions is golf. So, he was in heaven!

Here is a shot of the group of guys that golfed. The groom, his dad, and some of his guys. What a great way to kick off the wedding events. Even though it was scorching hot, the guys still look fabulous on the course!

DECEMBER LEAVES!

Leaves in December!

Kristin and John had their engagement shoot at Fort Niagara State Park and the Village of Lewiston area. John's kids came along for some family portraits to start off the session! Four boys! Holy cow! But they were awesome and so much fun. For this shot, we had them throw leaves up! We told them to throw them behind Kristin and John. We knew that wasn't going to happen. They were thrown right at Kristin and John and it was perfect. They did such a great job. And they had so much fun with it. They helped to create a beautiful image with so many laughs!

RAIN SHOWERS AT AVANTI MANSION

A little rain never hurt anybody!

Christina and Nick had a rainy night on their wedding at the Avanti Mansion. The party was rockin' inside, so we took them outside really quick for an end of the night shoot. Umbrellas out, lights ready, and Neal in position. We were all set for Christina and Nick. We wanted to get them back into their party as quickly as possible.

Avanti has a nice giant parking area where we could set this up with nothing in the background, except darkness with a hint of trees. The added lights gave an awesome glow on the pavement. Christina and Nick were such great sports too. The wind was starting to pick up and the umbrellas got a little out of control. We had Christina look away and Nick went in for a whisper in her ear. I think the pose adds a bit of drama and mystery to the image. The shot was captured! All done within 2 minutes! I love ending on great images like this.
