FACE FULL OF CAKE!

We are back with baby Niall and his first birthday cake smash in Neal Urban Studio!

So, as you can see, Niall didn't need to use his hands to dig into the cake! This literally happened about 10 seconds into the shoot! We have never seen a baby do this in our cake smashes yet! Niall decided he was going to dive face first and have a bite. No Hands!! We were honestly laughing so hard when this happened. And this wasn't the last time he did this, he continued to do this the entire shoot! This little guy was happy the entire time. We definitely got spoiled with this shoot! Sooooo CUTE!

A little background on the shoot. Niall had a camping style first birthday! Don't we love his little red plaid pants? Mom and Dad brought in this little tent. We had some old school Coleman style camping equipment. Then of course we had to add in some Solo Cups and a 6 pack! Well a 4 pack of Root Beer! I know you can't see everything in this image, but you sure can in yesterdays image. Don't forget the "Camp Niall" sign and "Beware of Bears" sign!

NIALL CAKE SMASH

We had an amazing first birthday cake smash with baby Niall in Neal Urban Studio! Niall had a camping theme for his first birthday. Niall's parents brought in a few props from his party that included a tiny tent and some signs! We supplied the rest which included a cooler, solo party cups and some root beer! It was time to party!

Niall had such a little personality already at one year old! He was such a cutie and so funny. We couldn't even concentrate on the photos. We were laughing so hard. At one point, I had to take the camera from Neal because he was laughing so much. Niall was so talkative and in his own little world the whole time. He was even having little conversations with parts of the set we had displayed! And also shaking his little bum to the music!

We had so many great images from this shoot, but I needed to show Niall's true, happy self to start! He was the first baby we have had in studio that dug into his birthday cake right away. He needed no warming up. Niall was all smiles and belly laughs the whole time! I hope his sugar high wasn't too bad for mommy when they got home!

4TH OF JULY FIRST BIRTHDAY SESSION PART 2

Baby Ray is back in action and was ready for cake at Neal Urban Studio

Time to get messy! At least we thought so. We started off with some crying and wanting nothing to do with the cake. Mom asked if we had a fork. She gave him a few forkfuls and he was happy. But, he didn't want to touch the cake. With some fork assist we had to keep trying. 

Yay! We have cake contact! At one point the cake was pushed right off the stand, but we didn't mind. It was great. And only one side technically got smashed.

It was such a fun shoot! I love these shoots!

PEEK-A-BOO MATTHEW

Matthew is back and messy with his first birthday cake smash in Neal Urban Studio!

After doing our teacher/school style set up, we switched up some things to bring in a cake. Matthew had a Mickey Mouse birthday party, so he was dressed in his little outfit and hat. Isn't he just the cutest little guy you have ever seen in that outfit.

Matthew continued to be such a happy camper for this part as well. He went to town and dug right into his cake all by himself. We all started to play peek-a-boo with him behind the camera. Picture 4 adults, all hiding behind one another and popping out saying peek-a-boo in extremely high voices. This is what happened! Matthew decided to play right along with us. I love how his hands are covered in cake too! This is one of my favorite cake smash photos!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY MATTHEW!

Matthew came to celebrate his first birthday with Neal Urban Studio for a photo shoot!

We love having this family at the studio. We took Matthews parents', Katie and Chad's engagement and wedding photos as well. Then newborn! We are full circle! Katie and Chad are both teachers, so we wanted to incorporate that somehow into the photos. I think we did a great job!

Matthew was such a happy little guy. He was smiling and laughing the entire time! We all sang some Patty Cake, and said a lot of "You are so big!" And that was the keeper! Right when Katie asked Matthew how big he was, his hands went right up in the air. And he still held onto his blocks!

Wait until we bring in the cake!

CAKE SMASH ROUND 2

Olivia is one! 

We had back to back cake smashes recently at Neal Urban Studio. The second was just as great as the first! Olivia was wonderful. She was such a happy baby. All we needed to do was sing some Mickey Mouse songs and she was all smiles. When they arrived we already had the set up ready. I had no idea what color mom was planning on for Olivia's tutu! I matched my colors to how I wanted them to look. Well, we hit it right on the nose. Olivia came in with the same scheme. It was perfect!

Olivia was not so sure about the cake at first. With a little help from mom, she dug right in. In the end, she had more cake on her feet than on her hands. She was covered. This was an image before the entire destruction. She just looks too cute for words!

FIRST BIRTHDAY CAKE SMASH!

Jenna is 1!!!

This was such a fun cake smash session in Neal Urban Studio! Jenna was so cute and full of smiles. She was a little unsure at first about the cake. Once she had a little taste, it was all over. She dug right in! She was smiling and giggling the whole time. Jenna was clapping her hands and waving them all around. Cake was flying everywhere. It was awesome! And just look at those baby blues! What a doll!
