END OF THE NIGHT FUN!

Frank and Katie got married over the weekend at the Conference and Event Center in Niagara Falls. This was taken at the end of the night.

We bring this photo to you, not from the Events Center, but, from the Sheraton at the Falls Hotel. Since it is right next door, Neal snuck in to check out the Hotel for something fun for pictures. He stumbled upon this in one of the hallways. I think it resembles something you would see in a Las Vegas hotel.

We had Frank and Katie stand in front of the fixture (well let's face it. It's a hallway of balls). Anyways... It looked awesome in the background. Also, if you look really close, you can see reflections in them as well. They were having such a great time. They were laughing and enjoying being together away from their reception for a few minutes. Sometimes, you just need that time to enjoy being newly married without crowds of people around you.

It was a great way to end the night! Congratulations Frank and Katie!

VEIL FUN AT THE HAMILTON HOUSE

Happy Friday the 13th! Neal and I are gearing up or Katie and Frank's wedding this weekend. But I thought I would leave you with one more image from Lindsay and Adam's wedding at Genesee Country Village and Museum.

We showed you an image last week that we took in front of the Hamilton House at night. This is what it looked like during the day and from a different angle. I think it is beautiful! It had a pretty red brick walkway, surrounded by trees, and bushes. And I love the white clouds in the sky too!

Time for some veil fun! We decided to place Lindsay's veil over both her and Adam. We had them join hands and go in for a kiss. This was right before the kiss. We still get some nice detail of Lindsay and Adam through the veil as well. Such a pretty moment in front of a pretty house!

COZY ENGAGEMENT BY THE FIRE

We take you to another one of the locations from Nina and Greg's engagement session. This was at one of the private residences.

Why not celebrate with champagne! Greg actually proposed using these champagne flutes. One of them said 'Will you marry me" and the other said "Future Mr. and Mrs. Guenther." What a great idea! They wanted to incorporate them into their engagement session.

So, Greg popped open the champagne, and they had a toast by the fire. It was perfect timing as well. It was a little chilly, so they got a chance to warm up a bit too. The champagne helped too I'm sure!

ARTPARK ENGAGEMENT WITH THE PUPS!

Back to Sarah and Christina's engagement session at ArtPark State Park!

We started their shoot in the main area of the park, where they host concerts (Tuesday in the Park). They are such huge dog lovers as well. They both have dogs and brought them for part of the shoot. Meet Gator(left) and Chase(right).

Both of these dogs just wanted to play. Or run and run and run (Chase). After they calmed down a bit, which only took a few minutes, Neal had this idea. At first, we were all wondering if both dogs would really sit on the rocks for long enough to get the shot. We had Sarah and Christina get the dogs situated on each side first. Then they sat down. We were all shocked when both Gator and Chase looked toward Sarah and Christina at the same time! That was it! Any images after that were just bonus. I know we did sneak one where everyone was looking at the camera. But I liked this one best!

END OF THE NIGHT IN THE GARDENS

Like I mentioned before, Lindsay and Adam had such a great wedding venue at the Genesee Country Village and Museum. This was another image from the end of the night.

This was taken at the Livingston-Backus Garden! Now, I know there aren't any leaves or greenery (and it's dark), but the vines looked so pretty intertwined through the pergola. There were actually fruit tress, wisteria, roses, and iris planted in the area. I can only imagine the colors that are going to pop up soon.

That is one of the reasons we waited to shoot this location at night. We had Lindsay and Adam stand in the pergola and look toward each other. We had a light placed behind them. I was hiding behind one of the pillars lighting their faces, while Neal was shooting down the way.

I love when we end the night with beautiful images. We are always trying to find something creative at the end of the night. We want to make sure it is worth stealing the Bride and Groom from their party really quick. It also gives them a nice break from their guests and to be alone for a short time!

WILSON BOATYARD ENGAGEMENT SESSION

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and all the mothers out there had a great Mother's Days! Neal and I were so happy that we were able to spend time with our moms yesterday and have a great brunch and dinner!

Well, it's Monday. And a great way to start your day is with an image from Nina and Greg's engagement session. The morning of the shoot did not start off too well. It was absolutely pouring out. But all forecasts pointed to clearing of the skies and sun. (You may have seen from the image of Nina and Greg Neal posted on Face Book last week with the amazing sunset). That is why we do not cancel shoots that early in the day!

We had the pleasure of shooting Nina and Greg's shoot at the Wilson Boatyard and Marina. On top of that, 2 amazing private residences and family owned Daisy Barn Campground. We had quite a bit to work with!

We were so happy when we got to the docks that a lot of people already had their boats in the water. We weren't sure if it was too early, since it has still been chilly. We had Nina and Greg face each other and have a kiss. Neal decided to shoot from another dock to capture their reflection in the water, the boats in the back ground, and the pretty sky! 3 in 1 bonus! And the final product!

WEDDING PARTY AT GENESEE COUNTRY VILLAGE AND MUSEUM

This was my second favorite place at the Genesee Country Village and Museum for Lindsay and Adams wedding! This was called the Livingston-Backus House (soon to be Danielle Urban's house).

This plantation house reminded me of something from Gone with the Wind. We spent a good deal of time at this part of the Village for photos. We got some great images. I love this image of the bridal party here. We lucked out that there were some benches right in front of the white picket fence. I am a little happy that there weren't leaves on that giant tree yet. I like how you can see all of the house. We wouldn't have complained though, if it were full.

I could not imagine if the Village was open to the public during our photo time. It would have been crawling with people and I do not know if we would have been able to capture something like this.

CHURCH BRIDAL PORTRAIT

This is one of my favorite images of Lindsay and Adam's wedding. Yes, they had an amazing reception venue at the Genesee Country Village and Museum, but their church was pretty cool as well.

Lindsay and Adam exchanged wedding vows at Christ Episcopal Church in Pittsford, NY. Getting around in the church was little confusing at first, but after figuring out the lay of the land, we were really excited for photos!

Here is the lovely Lindsay after their ceremony. She looks stunning. Her dress was gorgeous. So, placing her in this cool backdrop, made the image even better. Look at the size of the organ behind her! Normally, the organ is on a balcony or near the alter. This was great that we could actually use it for a photo. (or a few)

Neal was shooting down the aisle and I was off to the side with some extra fill light. We had Lindsay stand sideways and glance down at her flowers. Boom! (yes I just said boom haha) Love it!

AMBER WAVES OF GRAIN AT ARTWORK PART II

We return back to this amazing field at Artpark State Park for Sarah and Christina's engagement session.

This image was taken around the same time we took the photo from yesterdays post. Obviously, Sarah and Christina are in a different pose. One of the main differences is that Neal positioned them differently in the light. For this, the sun is shining off to the side a bit more. This created a slight silhouette. I say slight because you can still see some color and detail on Sarah and Christina. The sun also cast a little haze as well.

It is so crazy how a turn in a different direction can change the feel of an entire image. Even though we were in the same exact spot, the whole image looks different. Everyone that follows Neal Urban, knows he is a master of light!

AMBER WAVES OF GRAIN AT ARTPARK

Last week we had the honor of shooting our cousin Sarah and cousin to be Christina, engagement session. We did their photo shoot at ArtPark State Park in Lewiston.

They had such a pretty day for their shoot. The sun was out and it was warm! That always helps! We took advantage of many different areas of the Park. As we were driving, Neal spotted this huge field with tall grass. The sun was hitting the field and the grass was glowing. It looked like the color of honey! Of course we needed to stop! I think both Sarah and Christina knew they were going in the grass.

We did a "promesque" pose for this. Originally, we had them looking back at each other. Christina said something really funny to Sarah and Sarah started laughing. Christina then leaned in a little, laughing as well. The reason we chose this image was because we just loved Sarah's reaction! It is a real moment.

I love this image. The lighting could not have been better.

Tune in tomorrow to see another photo in this series of Sarah and Christina!
