FLOWER LADIES!!!

I absolutely love this! Julie and Ben got married two weeks ago. Julie is very very close to her grandmother. So, instead of little flower girls, they chose to have both of their grandmothers be the flower girls! Or should I say flower ladies!

They had so much fun with it as well. They each had metal buckets full of flowers. As they were walking down the aisle, they were throwing flowers at the guests sitting in the church pews. There were laughs all around the church. After they completed the task of "flower girl" a bottle of wine was waiting for each of them on a job well done!

What a cute idea from Julie and Ben!

PS. Did you know that we offer a special incentive if you wish to have an "unplugged wedding"? Todays image is a very mild sample of how guests cell phones can tarnish a beautiful photograph. Can you imagine this image if there weren't any cell phones and just peoples real reactions to this moment? Luckily this image wasn't ruined by the cell phones but there are so many that get deleted or we don't take because cell phones appear in the shot or are covering peoples faces. If you'd like to know more information please feel free to ask. Yes, we are paying our clients in prints so that we can take better photos! Win! Win!

BUFFALO TROLLEY LOVE!

Who doesn't love a wedding trolley?! Dave and Kristine had a giant trolley for their wedding from Buffalo Trolley. Leah (one of our main photographers, you should all know by now) rode in the trolley after the photo session to take a few more shots, so I could head to Brookfield Country Club and start working on the reception.

After the wedding party departed from the trolley, Leah kept Dave and Kristine on for some fun shots. I love this image. I love the pose Leah chose to do for it as well. Dave has a nice casual pose while looking at Kristine. And I really like how Kristine is looking straight ahead at the camera. There is some nice light coming in through the window too. It softens up the look of the image as well.

Another great image from Leah edited by Neal. What a great combo!

NIGHT SHOOT AT BYBLOS NIAGARA!

Happy Anniversary Jessica and Pete! They celebrated yesterday! This image was done at the end of the night at Byblos Niagara Resort and Spa in Grand Island.

Jessica and Pete had a wonderful wedding. The reception was such a giant dance party, it was hard to take them away for one last shoot. It was a beautiful night though. The moon was shining bright, it was a must shot! This was done on the dock outside of the hotel. We bring another version of the prom pose to you! This has a very Dirty Dancing feel to it with Jessica's arm around Pete's neck and he is gently holding her wrist. I even sang the "Time of my Life" silently in the background. They look like models!

I love night images near the water. They look so pretty if there are lights in the distance. The glow of the reflection on the water is beautiful, just like this amazing couple!

Happy Anniversary!

LOVE AT SHEA'S!

This is my favorite image from Ashley and Dan's wedding. You saw the image with the horse and buggy and probably thought it couldn't get any better. Well I think it can!

No, there is not a horse and buggy, but this image is stunning. Part of their photo session was at Shea's Performing Arts Center. We finished up with the wedding party and it was time for Ashley and Dan to be in the spotlight. We wanted Ashley and Dan to be the only people in the theater (besides Neal and I and Bella Star Productions video). We had Ashley and Dan sit in the middle of the theater and have a romantic moment together. They just needed to look at each other and it was perfect! Right out of the camera we knew it was going to be amazing! The image is simple, elegant, and I absolutely love it!

A Smokin' Engagement Shoot in Lewiston!

Rene'e and Tommy are getting married tomorrow! We are so excited to be a part of their day! Here is an image from their engagement shoot, that is just awesome!

This was done at the Lewiston waterfront. They told us this area meant a lot to them and it would be perfect for their photos. We shot around the area and ended with this shot.

Tommy rode in on his bike and wanted to have it for some of their photos. As Tommy was showing us all the different lights and colors on the bike, Neal's mind was turning. He said we needed some smoke to make the shot look really cool! Why not do a burn out? We had Tommy rev up the bike, while Rene'e leaned into the bike from the front. You can tell by their giant smiles, they were having a great time! We loved it! The colors from the bike look so good with the smoke.

It was so nice to create images for Rene'e and Tommy that really meant something to them. We got to be so creative and have so much fun doing it!

Happy Wedding weekend Rene'e and Tommy! We can't wait to have more fun and capture your beautiful wedding!

SUNSET AT BROOKFIELD COUNTRY CLUB

Here is a beautiful image taken at the end of the night from Dave and Kristine's wedding at Brookfield Country Club.

The skies were amazing that night and the colors were so vibrant! We had Dave and Kristine face each other and have a romantic moment. Kristine's vintage dress just keeps making every photo look better and better.

If there is a great sunset, you bet we will take you outside for a quick photo shoot! Sorry if we interrupt your meal, but we can't miss out on amazing images.

"NEIGHBOR" TABLE NUMBERS!

Dave and Kristine had a "Would you be my Neighbor" themed wedding at Brookfield Country Club. That is how they met. They were neighbors. I loved their table "numbers". Instead of typical numbered seating, they came up with all different TV neighbor stars. For example, this is Cosmo Kramer, from Seinfeld. She also had neighbors like Steve Urkel (Family Matters), Marie Barone (Everybody Loves Raymond), Kimmy Gibbler (Full House). You get the picture.

It was such a creative and clever idea. And it was perfect for Dave and Kristine's background!

There are always different options and ideas to make your wedding different. Be creative. We love it!

A Videographers WEDDING IN DELAWARE PARK

Dave and Kristine just got married on July 26th of this year! This was a very meaningful wedding for us, because Dave and Kristine are dear friends to us. Dave is from LaNasa Studio and shares a studio space with us. We also flew him to Napa, CA to video our own wedding in May of 2012. He did an incredible job so it was our time to return the favor!

Gearing up for the wedding a few days before, we had some devastating news. Neal's grandmother had passed away and the memorial was on the same day as the wedding. It was time for me to step up and take over for Neal, so he could be with his family. Before we even told Dave and Kristine, we had one of our photographers, Leah ready to step in and assist me! Leah books her own weddings through us so she was more than qualified to step in the position. My bright and airy style was more of what Kristine was looking for so it worked out perfectly. We had an amazing time and so much fun!

Neal did photograph Kristine getting ready, and came back just in time for intros at the reception at Brookfield Country Club where he took the two of them out for sunset photos. But, I had the honor of capturing all of the other parts of the day.

For their photo session, Dave and Kristine wanted to go to Delaware Park. We started at the stone bridge in the center of the park. I had Dave and Kristine have a seat on the ledge and have a romantic moment together. Lighting was perfect and so were Dave and Kristine. With the pop of color to the side with her flowers, and Kristine's vintage dress, the image worked out wonderful. Dave looks pretty good too! I really like his pose here with his feet crossed and the connection they have with each other is beautiful.

I can't wait to share the rest of the images with Dave and Kristine!

DREAMS DO COME TRUE!

Words to describe this image. Amazing, beautiful, stunning, magical, dream! We don't always go into a wedding with a specific image in mind. But for Ashley and Dan's wedding we had a feeling we were going to come home with something magical.

From our first meeting, Ashley and Dan mentioned a horse and buggy on site. It was to escort guests from the parking lot to the reception and for Ashley and Dan to be introduced in. And of course for Neal to take a magnificent image.

This was seconds before Ashley and Dan were introduced into the reception. Neal took this as I was photographing the wedding party introductions. Ashley & Dan took a nice ride in the horse and buggy as the sun began to set. Neal stayed with Ashley and Dan and the buggy while they made their grand entrance. There was an old beautiful tree on site (their reception was at a private family residence). The sun was peaking through the trees as the buggy began to makes it's way. Neal was equipped with a 50mm lens, there was a treeline behind him that didn't allow him to back up to get the entire scene in the shot. Neal thinking on his feet took an 8 shot panoramic with his 50mm and stitched it all together in post. Neal asked Ashley and Dan to have a kiss. That was it! The rest of the image speaks for itself.

Ashley and Dan were so cute too, during cocktail hour they kept asking Neal, when do you want to take our photos with the horse and buggy? Neal kept telling them it's not time yet, the lighting isn't perfect yet, 20 more minutes, 10 more minutes, right before intro's... The intro's were starting and the sun was in the perfect spot behind the tree and Neal got this amazing shot! It's all about being patient!

Later in the night when we were walking around taking photos Ashley asked "How do you decide what image you want to edit and post first?" I said, we normally know right when the image is taken if that is the "one." But for her wedding, I could not give her an answer. Their photo session was at Shea's and those were amazing. When we got to the reception, we got even more stunning images. Later in the night we got even better images! I said it was going to be tough for us to decide, but she would NOT be disappointed. At this time Neal had a feeling that this image was going to be the one, but since this was an 8 shot pano, he didn't know exactly what he had until he stitched them together. Pano's are tough especially with moving parts in the image, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Neal felt confident about it but you never know. Once all 8 photos pieced together seemlessly, he knew this was "the one"! And here it is! I think it was the perfect choice!

Delaware Park Wedding

Here is another image from Elisa and David's wedding last weekend!

This was taken at Delaware Park. We very rarely do wedding photos as Delaware Park because it is always so busy with other weddings. There are times where you have to wait your turn to take photos. We want our couples to feel like they are the only wedding on site and not have to share their day with 20 other Brides.

Elisa and David really wanted to go Delaware Park. So, we let them know in advance that it could be busy. We were in complete shock when we arrived and there was only one other wedding at the Park. We got to take the wedding party where ever we wanted. It was great and will probably never happen again!

This image turned out amazing! The natural back lighting from the sun was beautiful. We had Elisa slowly walk up the steps. Then reach out her hand to David and he was to help her the rest of the way.

I love all the detail in this image. Elisa and David look amazing, but I really love the fountain in the background. I love the detail in the water. We got some fantastic images at Delaware Park. We were so happy that we stuck it out and ventured there!
