FALL WEDDING AT DELAWARE PARK

Back to Delaware Park with Kevin and Tessa! I couldn't resist posting another image from the Park.

Would you just look at those colors for the backdrop! As you can see from the image, Neal took the photo from across Hoyt Lake. We loved how the Lake captured the reflection of Kevin and Tessa. I also loved the reflection of the trees surrounding the reflection of Kevin and Tessa.

Like I mentioned yesterday, Kevin and Tessa had such beautiful weather for their wedding. The temperature was perfect and not too cold. Fall skies are always gorgeous too. I know you can't see the sky in this photo, but there were dark clouds with the sun peeking through. It looked like it should have been snowing at some point.

Another nice and simple pose. I was sort of halfway between Neal and Kevin and Tessa. I was relaying direction. Not that there was too much to relay haha!

NOVEMBER BRIDE AND GROOM

We bring you another image from Kevin and Tessa's wedding!

For photos, we went to Delaware Park. Since their wedding was in the beginning of November, there were still some amazing colored leaves on the trees. And it was a really beautiful day! Tessa really wanted that to be part of their photos. What better place than Delaware Park!

This image was peeking in on Kevin and Tessa. We had to place them in the right spot between all of the leaves to have these amazing colors. I love the yellow in the foreground and greens and oranges in the background. It is just so beautiful. We did a nice and simple pose. Well, we pretty much just placed them in that location and hid in the trees to get this shot. They were having a nice little moment. No wedding party present. Just Kevin and Tessa!

STROLL ALONG HOYT LAKE

One last photo (for now) of Laura and Ian at Delaware Park!

Hoyt Lake (the name of the lake in the middle of the park if you did not know), can be such a pretty spot for photos. I really wanted Laura and Ian to have a few minutes alone (well with me, my assistant Alyssa, and videographer Brian). Hahah, I guess the bride and groom are never truly alone on their wedding day.

I wanted Laura and Ian to have a few minutes to soak in the day so far. They could have a quick conversation and just enjoy each others company as newlyweds. They walked hand in hand along the lake. All I asked is they looked at one another. We had a lot of time, so there was no rush. They could just relax and be together.

I love moments like this!

WEDDING PARTY AT DELAWARE PARK

Sorry for the delay folks. When I took on the responsibility of the Blog, it was in the off season. I was on top of having a photo ready every day. I did not think it would be this hard during this crazy season. Honestly, with how busy we are, sometimes I completely forget to post a photo. I apologize and will continue to do my best!

So, today (a bit late), is Laura and Ian and their wedding party at Delaware Park. Now, going to Delaware Park can always be a challenge during prime wedding season. There are always tons of weddings there taking photos. I don't know how it happened, but we did not have to wait for any other weddings to take photos. Bonus!

This was just a fun and casual action photo of the wedding party. I told Laura and Ian to lead the way with a casual stroll, and the wedding party to follow. There was no posing. I just told everyone to do what they wanted and have fun with it. I love Laura and Ian's laughs and smiles!

FUN TIMES AT DELAWARE PARK

Hi everyone! When I posted photos from Nick and Jill's engagement session a while back, I forgot to show this one! Their shoot, if you do not remember, was at Delaware Park.

I thought this was so playful. We always wonder what kind of reaction we are going to get when we do something like this. We saw a really pretty area of the park that had bright yellow flowers everywhere. It was actually the only area of the park that was in full bloom!

We had Nick lay down and Jill on top. Now, I know what you are thinking. Pretty kinky right? Don't worry parents. We normally zoom in pretty close to their faces on poses like this. Everyone seems to laugh and have such great reactions. As you can see from Nick and Jill, they were having a great time.

I love how there is color in the foreground and background. The green is so bold in front of them. Then the bright yellow adds such a happy feel to the already happy couple!

FAMILY ENGAGEMENT AT DELAWARE PARK

So, we saw Nick and Jill's little pup Bentley the other day, but only his sleepy little face. This is a nice family shot taken at Delaware Park for their engagement session.

As I mentioned before, working with dogs is always tricky. You never know if they are going pay attention. Bentley was great! Every time we called his name, his ears went up and he looked right at us. We were pretty lucky. That doesn't happen often.

When our clients ask if they can bring their dogs for engagement photos, we always tell them to bring someone else to the shoot with them. We work with the dogs first and then send them away with whoever came a long. This helps us to get amazing images with just the couple. They will not be worrying about their dogs or what to do with them when we are not taking photos of them. It is just much easier. And since Neal and I are both shooting, we can't look after them either. Even though sometimes, I would not mind sneaking away and playing with the dogs.

SLEEPY DOG!

Meet Bentley!

I know you can't see all of him, but I couldn't resist. This image is too cute. We started Nick and Jill's engagement session at Delaware Park. We had just started and only walked a short way, and you could tell Bentley was already tired. We started in the rose garden area. If you know the park, you know that is it super close to the road and not a far walk.

Nick went to pick him up so we could move on, and Bentley rested his head right on his shoulder. We stopped him and had Jill sneak in right on the side. Slowly Bentley's eyes started to close. He was falling asleep like a newborn child! It was hysterical. Poor pup!

CHERRY BLOSSOM ENGAGEMENT SHOOT

Rise and grind! It's Monday and everyone is back to work. Ugh Mondays!

Anyway, this past week we had an engagement session with Nick and Jill. We have had to reschedule 2 times due to the weather. Our original location was to be at Knox Park State Farm. Well, day of once again, the weather was not cooperating out that way. It was beautiful here in Buffalo, so we asked them if they wanted to head to Delaware Park or reschedule again. They were on board and we were shooting!

We had to select a location that was dog friendly because they were bringing their pup Bentley (you will meet him tomorrow). As we were shooting around the park, Neal noticed the cherry blossoms across the way at the Japanese Gardens. Now, we have never been able to do a shoot when they were in bloom, so we were pumped to head over there and take advantage! Nick and Jill were super excited as well.

It was so pretty! I love the colors in this image. We had Nick and Jill stand right in the middle of the trees so it created a tunnel of color! They loved it!

The rain held off until we finished and all got into our cars. Thank God!

ENGAGEMENT SHOOT LAUGHS!

Here is another image of Ashley and Justin's engagement session at Delaware Park.

This was at the very beginning of the shoot. Everyone is always a bit nervous when we start. And Ashley told us she was! We started off pretty basic with having them look at each other. Ashley started to laugh like crazy. She could not keep a straight face when she looked at Justin. Then he started to laugh too! I love the way Justin brought in Ashley for a hug!

These are the moments we love to capture. These are genuine laughs! This was a great way to break the ice as well. Then they began to settle down and have a lot of fun!

WINTER ENGAGEMENT SHOOT IN DELAWARE PARK

Ashley and Justin are getting married this August! We had a great engagement session with them recently at Delaware Park.

We were hoping for a lot of snow, but it got pretty nice the days leading up to the shoot (not that I am complaining at all). Most of it melted, but we were really excited there was still some on the ground! It was a cold one too! I made sure to tell Ashley and Justin to dress for the weather. They did just that and looked great!

We had no set locations in mind. We walked around Delaware Park and stopped at different spots on the way. This part of the stairs had the most snow, so I asked Ashley and Justin to stop here and snuggle up really close to stay warm. Then I had them take a gander out at Hoyt Lake. Everything looked so pretty!
