FAMILY ENGAGEMENT AT DELAWARE PARK

So, we saw Nick and Jill's little pup Bentley the other day, but only his sleepy little face. This is a nice family shot taken at Delaware Park for their engagement session.

As I mentioned before, working with dogs is always tricky. You never know if they are going pay attention. Bentley was great! Every time we called his name, his ears went up and he looked right at us. We were pretty lucky. That doesn't happen often.

When our clients ask if they can bring their dogs for engagement photos, we always tell them to bring someone else to the shoot with them. We work with the dogs first and then send them away with whoever came a long. This helps us to get amazing images with just the couple. They will not be worrying about their dogs or what to do with them when we are not taking photos of them. It is just much easier. And since Neal and I are both shooting, we can't look after them either. Even though sometimes, I would not mind sneaking away and playing with the dogs.

SLEEPY DOG!

Meet Bentley!

I know you can't see all of him, but I couldn't resist. This image is too cute. We started Nick and Jill's engagement session at Delaware Park. We had just started and only walked a short way, and you could tell Bentley was already tired. We started in the rose garden area. If you know the park, you know that is it super close to the road and not a far walk.

Nick went to pick him up so we could move on, and Bentley rested his head right on his shoulder. We stopped him and had Jill sneak in right on the side. Slowly Bentley's eyes started to close. He was falling asleep like a newborn child! It was hysterical. Poor pup!

My humans are getting married!

Sorry for the delay folks. We have had some technical difficulties over the past few days. However, Save the Date for Laura and Dan (and Moscsato)!

Laura and Dan had their engagement shoot around the Lewiston area. They brought their adorable dog Moscato to be a part of the photos. She was awesome and loved the camera! Treats worked well too! I love her little sign shaped like a bone with Laura and Dan's wedding date on it.

Laura and Dan were standing behind a bench with Moscato sitting on it. We had Laura and Dan try to ignore their dog and have a moment between themselves. We would get Moscato's attention. It was great! She looked right at the camera without us bribing her with treats.

Laura, Dan, and Moscato were so much fun to work with. We can't wait until next year to photograph their wedding!

SAVE THE DATE WITH BOOMER!

Happy Wedding Day Gus and Balon! I just had to post one more image from their engagement session at Knox Farm!

They brought in a board with their date on it and wanted something they could send out for their save the dates. I think they made out pretty good with this shot! Gus and Balon brought their giant dog, Boomer! We loved him! We had them have a seat and had their dog sit in between them. They hung their date board around Boomer and now it was our turn to get his attention. He loved the camera! We got a ton of great images, but this was the keeper!

Congratulations Gus and Balon!
