RAINY END TO THE NIGHT

Sneak peak from Kristi and Adam's wedding! They had their ceremony and reception at Park Country Club.

After getting to know Neal, you now know Neal's passion for photographing golf courses. So, it was a double bonus for Kristi and Adam! At the end of the night we took the newly married couple onto the course with the club house behind them. It is the best view! We had Kristi and Adam look at each other and have an intimate moment. You can see it was raining, and it only added to the beauty of this image. The glow from Park Club house is just gorgeous in the background.

Kristi and Adam were ready to tough the rain on their wedding day. It just so happens it rained on their engagement shoot and we got amazing images for them. I can't wait for them to see what we did this time!

HORSE PHOTO BOMB!

So one more from Caitlyn and Adam's wedding at Vernon Downs and Casino. This was taken by Leah!

She got an awesome shot. The horse is totally photo bombing! The horse looks so funny popping over the fence. Caitlyn and Adam had no idea the horse was coming up behind them like that either. I had them posing where I needed them to be. I really wasn't sure what angle Leah was at, but she definitely got a fun image. I love this!

All Leah and I wanted was a shot with the horses. It was not as easy as you would think with all the rules. But I am so happy we got what we needed. And then got to have some fun images like this!

HARNESS RACING!

Back to Vernon Downs and Casino in Syracuse for Caitlyn and Adam's wedding! We did need to get a few shots with the race track in the back ground.

There were actual harness races going on during the wedding. We had a lot of rules when it came to this. There were only certain areas we could be in and no flash photography. Luckily this shot was taken while the horses and jockeys were warming up. Our goal was to get at least a few shots with the horses!

I think we did good here. We were finishing up our photo session and heading in for the ceremony, when the horses were turning the track and heading closer to us. I had Caitlyn and Adam pretty much run to get the horses in the shot. You can see they really aren't posed. There was no time! Adam didn't even have enough time to put his suit coat down! It sure was fun with us all running to get this. Good thing we didn't scare the horses on the way!

During the reception, Caitlyn and Adam placed multiple bets on Race 9 and passed out the tickets to all of their guests. Who ever had the winning ticket, won the money that was placed for the bet. It was such a fun idea! Leah and I did not win :(

Happy Reflections

Happy Monday! I hope everyone has had their morning coffee and are ready for the day! This is from Caitlyn and Adam's wedding! I traveled to Vernon Downs and Casino in Syracuse to shoot this wedding. Leah made the trip with me to assist!

Caitlyn and Adam were so much fun! They had amazing personalities and were up for anything. When most people go to Vernon Downs, they are concentrating on the harness racing. There is a beautiful race track. We didn't want that to be the main focus of all the photos. We definitely wanted to give them a variety.

While walking the grounds the day before, Leah and I found this cool glass walkway that connected the hotel to the grand stands. Perfect for some reflections! This was taken at the end of the night. I had Caitlyn and Adam stand side by side and hold hands. The walkway was lit up enough on it's own that I could catch their reflections on both sides. It was a fun way to end the night before our drive back to Buffalo!

DANCING IN THE RAIN

We had a rainy day for Elizabeth and John's wedding, but we still toughed it out doing photos outside! And they turned out awesome!

We went to Niagara University for photos. Whenever Elizabeth picked her dressed up she had a great strut to her walk. The dress bounced after every step she took and had a great flow to it. So Neal had her keep it going and dance around John while he held the umbrella. Everything was in motion and not really posed. I love how her dress looks in this and how you can still see her profile! She really had a lot of fun with this.

The rain makes the shot a little more fun too! Instead of "Singing in the Rain" she is "Dancing in the Rain."

Beautiful light is all you need!

Elizabeth and John are married! They got married in September!

Elizabeth had a great empty room in their house to get ready in. We love blank walls! It was a rainy day, but there was still nice light coming through the windows.

After Elizabeth was in her dress and ready, we took her veil and pulled it over her face. I love when we do this. I think the images turn out so beautiful. Elizabeth looks stunning. All we had her do was slightly look down. Sometimes a blank wall plus beautiful light is all you need!

DISTINGUISHED GENTLEMAN

You recently saw two pictures of Amy getting ready. Well here is her husband, Robert!

Doesn't he look great? He looked awesome getting ready at Hotel at the Lafayette. Even though he wasn't in a suite like Amy, he still had beautiful images taken. All Neal needed was a blank wall and a tiny window with beautiful light pouring through. The guys getting ready are pretty simple. Adjust shirt sleeves, button up your coat! That's most of the detail. (well from most of our weddings). But, the men can still have just as good of images as their brides. The same ideas apply as well. We still put the groom in the best lighting we can find!

Wedding at Hotel Lafayette Camera 2

Yesterday, you saw an image of Amy from Neal's angle. Here is the same shot, but from my angle.

This was inside of one of the suites at Hotel at the Lafayette. Neal had Amy pose facing the window. From his view, she was framed within the window panels. My angle was up closer and off to the side. I wanted her to be completely surrounded by the light, to give a blown out look. I love how this image feels angelic.

Having two people taking photos is always a benefit. Neal and I are taking images of the same style of pose, but the images look completely different.

Wedding at Hotel Lafayette Camera 1

All I can say is WOW! This image is so beautiful.

Amy and Robert got married at the end of August. They both got ready at Hotel at the Lafayette. In Amy's suite, we moved out some of the furniture to expose as much room as we could near the windows. It was a beautiful day and there was so much light coming through the windows. We had Amy pose facing the window with her flowers. She looked down to her flowers and that was it! The light surrounding her also made the floor look like it was glowing. What a breath taking image from Neal!

Check in tomorrow to see another angle of the same image taken by me!

VIEW FROM ABOVE

This is Dana and Joelle's first dance! Their wedding and reception were at the Buffalo Historical Society.

The venue is beautiful inside. I love the balcony! It surrounds the entire first floor reception area. Guests were watching Dana and Joelle's first dance from the balcony. What a great view! I really like how this was a real moment and not something staged. We didn't ask guests to go upstairs and watch.

Dana and Joelle had amazing friends and family. You can see the joy, love and excitement in everyone's faces.
