Our 3rd Annual "Photos for Toys" Christmas Special

We apologize if we've been lacking from our daily blog posts but our annual Christmas Special took over our lives for the past 10 days. But now that's it's over we can continue on with normal business operations!

Our 3rd Annual "Photos for Toys" Christmas Special is officially over and here is the end result!! A special THANK YOU to those who participated and donated this year. This would NOT be possible without YOU!! We will forward the toys to Cradle Beach who will distribute the toys to LOCAL families who are in need. Kids who normally don't have toys to open on Christmas day will now have a lot of high quality toys! This is what Christmas means to me! It's all about giving and it's all about the kids. This wouldn't of been possible without our hard working team at Neal Urban Studio (Alyssa, Adelle, Wendy & Shane) who did an incredible job of getting the word out, keeping things organized, kept the smiles coming and took some incredible images - thank you! 

On the morning of December 24th Danielle and I will be "Live" on FB to do the drawing of the $100 Gift Card to Salvatore's Hospitality donated by the Salvatore family! We'll also raffle off a Spring time family photo shoot by Neal Urban that's worth $400 to those who order $50 or more through our online store.

All of the images are just about done and we'll start to release photos tomorrow! We are already planning for next year and the ideas that we have are insane! My promise to everyone is that I will do my best to make this bigger and better every year. See you all and hopefully many, many more next year!! Thank you again for the support.

I love this image of Tiffany at Park Country Club!

This is one of my favorite spots at the Club for photos. Technically, we are really not supposed to go that far. Neal knows the course and some secret spots. We've gained Park's trust over the years that they let us go a little farther than most. It's not like it is on one of the greens haha. It's just a golf cart path!

Don't you just love the tree canopy?! It is the perfect location for a bridal portrait. What I love even more, is that the portrait is of the stunning Tiffany. Everything works perfect for this shot. Her pose and that pop of color from her flowers looks beautiful! Then the bright and airy backlight! Just gorgeous!

PARK COUNTRY CLUB WEDDING

Tiffany and Colin are married! They had their ceremony at Our Lady of Victory Basilica and their reception at Park Country Club.

End of the night! Park Country Club is gorgeous. But, I especially love it at night all lit up. Look at Tiffany and Colin. There is such an amazing connection between them. From our first meeting, to engagement photos, and wedding day, there was so much love and fun.

You cannot go wrong with an outdoor photo at Park Country Club. It looks like a castle. It is even better with an amazing bride and groom. And with an intimate prom pose. Yes, the prom pose is back and better than ever!

Neal and I had so much fun photographing Tiffany and Colin's wedding. There are so many amazing images, it is hard to choose for sneak peaks and the blog.

Another image from Jessica's maternity session at Neal Urban Studio!

I absolutely love this image of Jessica and Pete! They both look amazing and like models. Their maternity session was a little different too. Jessica wanted a high fashion style of shoot, but with our twist on it. I think this is definitely a Neal twist with the ladder.  I know it is a simple image, but Jessica and Pete just nailed it. Outfits, poses and facial expressions are spot on!

HAPPY MONDAY MATERNITY

I know everyone is probably expecting some sort of sneak peak from our 3rd annual "Photos for Toys." But we had about 70 amazing families visit Neal Urban Studio over the weekend and the photos are still loading. Thank you to everyone who participated. The toys will be donated to the Cradle Beach Organization. And I must say, the children are going to be very happy.

So, today we bring you an amazing maternity photo from Jessica and Pete's session at Neal Urban Studio! We did engagement and wedding photos for this lovely couple and now it is time to prep for the baby! This is absolutely stunning in every way. They were going more for a "glam" style maternity! Look at those outfits!

To top it all off, Jessica and Pete just returned from a vacation in Italy! We thought it would be perfect to include an Italian painting to complete the set in the studio. Gorgeous!

BABY ARMIN

Meet baby Armin!

What a cutie! This poor little guy was not feeling too great and was a little fussy. The only way to calm him at first was for someone to hold him. We started with some family portraits to keep body contact with Armin. 

A little side note.. We went to the clients house for this shoot. We normally do these in studio, but since our studio is and was under Christmas Session construction we had to make a change. 

Little did we know, the clients house was under construction too. But it worked out for the better for this photo. A vacuum was running and seemed to put Armin to sleep. When they shut if off, he was up. So, we asked the construction man to keep it running. And we got this cute image of Armin. He looks so peaceful!

CAKE SMASH WITH CHASE!

Here is Chase for his first birthday pictures at Neal Urban Studio!

I do not know what it is about this image, but Neal and I both picked it for the Blog. I didn't tell him this was the one I wanted either I think it is so cute! Oh... and look at those red legs! Yes, red frosting will stain your skin for a few days! But, having a Mickey Mouse theme for his birthday, it had to be red!

Chase was a lot of fun to have in the studio. He was on the move the whole time. He did not want to sit still. Until the cake came in! (I wouldn't move either) This is the fun and challenging part of these shoots. This is why I like having 2 of us. One is ready to shoot, while the other is running around and acting silly to get the little ones attention! We didn't have Chase's full attention here, but it was still too cute!

We bring you another image from Erica and Justin's wedding!

This room was so pretty for Erica to get ready in and for portraits. I love this image because the little flower girls decided to go over to the piano on their own. It was funny because the moms were telling them not to go into the room and stay out of the way. Once we saw where they were heading, we told everyone to let them go and see what happens. They both started to play the piano. All we had to do was pose Erica!

I love when things like this happen. Kids are so unpredictable. Sometimes it works out so great for photos. And most of the time, there are a lot of laughs. In this instance, the flower girls helped to create this timeless image.

Down On Main Street!

Happy Monday everyone! Today we bring you Erica & Justin!

Erica & Justin had their reception at the Hyatt in downtown Buffalo, NY. It was forecasted to rain all day on their wedding. It poured before the ceremony but stopped for portraits! While we were doing their portraits in between the ceremony and the reception is started to drizzle. We were just finishing up and by the time we got back to our car it started to pour cats and dogs.

Later in the night Neal went to out to the atrium to get an idea for an end of the night shot. He noticed that the rain had stopped so we took Erica & Justin outside. We brought an umbrella just in case it started to rain again and it was a good thing we did because the rain started to come down once we started to shoot. We had Erica & Justin walk back towards the Hyatt with the Shea's Buffalo sign in the background. They had great expressions while enjoying the moment in the rain!

HOTEL HENRY WEDDING PORTRAITS

Happy Friday! Today we bring you Chris and Christine outside of Hotel Henry.

Hotel Henry was one of the locations we went to for photos after the ceremony. Even though it was under construction, we still got some amazing images! We made sure to shoot angles that would not show any of the construction site. And I think we nailed it!

Just look at this photo! You would never know work was being done right behind Chris and Christine. We were so happy they wanted to go to this location. We got to capture this beautiful couple, and incorporate amazing Buffalo architecture.
