VINTAGE BRIDE AT THE B&B

Stunning! One word that sums up this image of Ashley taken at Frog Pond B&B

This was taken by one of our assistants, Adelle! She was working with me for Ashley and Justin's wedding at the B&B. I must say, I really love the angle that Adelle captured for this image. Ashley looks amazing! The dress looks gorgeous! I mentioned before that Ashley was great at posing!

Sometimes being the second shooter has it's perks. The main photographer is setting up the shot for what they have in their mind. You see things the main photographer may not see from their location. You can move around to all different spots as well to see different angles. For this image, I think Adelle had prime placement!

FROG POND B&B WEDDING

We are back at Frog Pond B&B with another gorgeous image of Ashley and Justin.

This is the actual B&B. Isn't it so cute! I love the red door. Like I mentioned yesterday, this B&B had so many vintage characteristics. Even the stone work was pretty.

This was taken after the ceremony. We only had about 20 minutes for photos. Ashley and Justin were such troopers. We covered a lot of ground in that time.

Ashley and Justin were so in the moment of being newlyweds. My only instruction to them was where I needed them to stand. Other than that, we told them to pretend we weren't there. They sure did! I know this is further away, so you don't really see their faces up close. I was going for a little more artistic image. But, there were tons of laughs. It was so much fun!

Thank you to Adelle for running around like a maniac carrying the camera gear, helping with the dress, and snapping some shots from different angles in this short time.

BRIDE AT FROG POND B&B

It's Monday. Again. Today we bring you a gorgeous image of the lovely Ashley!

I (with Adelle assisting) had the honor of photographing Ashley and Justin's wedding at Frog Pond B&B in Skaneatles NY. What an amazing venue. The grounds were so pretty. There was a beautiful main house, rustic barns, giant ponds, and these ruins. And all super close to each other.

Ashley and her ladies got ready at Frog Pond. For photos, we walked around the property for some fun images. Ashley's vintage, lace style dress was perfect for the ruins. She was such a natural at posing too. And don't you love that old bike!

Amazing couple. Amazing venue. Definitely more to come for Ashley and Justin's wedding at Frog Pond.

SILHOUETTE ON THE WATERFRONT

One last image from Keith and Dana's engagement session. After finishing up at the Ellicott Square Building, we headed down to the Erie Basin Marina for some sunset photos.

Keith and Dana changed into some comfy and casual clothes for this part. Good thing too! It was starting to get a bit chilly. The sun was setting and the colors in the sky were looking amazing. This was a perfect moment for some silhouette action! I love Dana's little pop of the knee.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

OUTSIDE OF ELLICOTT SQUARE BUILDING

We are back with Keith and Dana outside of the Ellicott Square Building for their engagement session!

Not only is the inside of Ellicott Square Building amazing, but so is the outside. Look at the architecture. The detail is beautiful. How could we not go outside for a few photos.

Once again Keith and Dana's outfits worked great outside as well. It was time to change up the pose too! I really like this. So pretty!

Engagement Ellicott Square Building

Wow! We recently did Keith and Dana's engagement shoot at Ellicott Square Building. This location is gorgeous. Especially, when the couple is all dressed up!

We love the elevators in Ellicott Square. The gold antique color went perfect with Keith and Dana's outfits. We had them sneak into the open elevator and have a nice moment together. We were almost spying in on them. Good thing nobody hit any elevator buttons haha. Thankfully the doors stayed open the whole time we needed them to be! A gorgeous image!

BRIDE AT TONAWANDA CASTLE

One last image from Jennifer and Anthony's wedding at the Tonawanda Castle!

After posting Anthony getting ready, I couldn't resist posting an image from Jennifer getting ready. Would you just look at this room?! This is my favorite room in the Castle! The windows are amazing. Look at all that light coming in. Jennifer is glowing! Neal had an amazing day to shoot in that room!

This is just a gorgeous image of Jennifer's mom and sister helping her get ready. These are amazing moments too! I love the interaction between everyone. There is so much emotion when the Bride is getting ready. And it is so true. Once the wedding dress goes on, there is such an emotional transformation. I love this moment!

MOVIE STAR GROOM

Happy Monday! Today we bring you a stunning image of Anthony at the Tonawanda Castle.

This is definitely GQ style! Anthony and his Groomsmen got ready at the Tonawanda Castle. Neal took Anthony into another room, away from his guys (better lighting in this room), for some getting ready shots. As you can see, this is an action shot of Anthony putting his suit coat on. And what a great suit he had. I wish I could have seen it in person. It looked like it was tailored perfectly for him.

Anthony just looks like a movie star or model. Not a hair out of place either! Even though everyone is anxious to see the Bride in her wedding dress, that same attention should be paid to the Groom too! This is a huge day for them. All eyes are on them as well. Especially this guy!

SHADOW FUN AT TONAWANDA CASTLE

I love this photo from Jennifer and Anthony's wedding at the Tonawanda Castle.

One thing I really like about weddings at the Castle is you can go almost anywhere inside for photos. There are amazing rooms and hallways on the second and third floors. This spot is actually a part of the Castle I do not think I have ever been to. We have shot weddings there so many times too. Great find Neal!

How cool is Anthony's shadow on the staircase wall! It was as though this room was meant to have a shot like this. What a perfect nook for Jennifer to stand in too!

What a fun image!

NIGHT TIME PORTRAIT AT THE CASTLE

How cool is this? Another area, this time outside of the Tonawanda Castle, Neal found for a cool image.

He was scoping out the area outside and stumbled upon this light casting a green hue on the stone walls. The first time I saw this I thought it was out of a Ghost Hunters episode or movie. Then to have the even creepier window with bars on it made it even better.

I love how Neal has this nice, intimate pose for Jennifer and Anthony. I think it looks so good with the eerie feeling setting. It makes the image still have a romantic feel.

It is always great to find new areas for photos at locations we shoot at frequently. We always want to give our clients something different and exciting. Jennifer and Anthony definitely got some different and fun images!

-Danielle

Neal here, this was literally the last shot of the night! After I get all of my "safe shots" then I like to play. Experiment with different lighting, backgrounds etc. What fun is it being an artist if you don't get to experiment and try new things? Throughout the day I captured a lot of bright, airy, beautiful & classic portraits of Jennifer & Anthony, so why not give them something completely different at the end of the night? If they like it, bonus! If this image spoke to Danielle and made her write a blog about it then something tells me that others will like it too! I really like it because I've never really taken anything like it before. The green lights were difficult to overcome so I had my assistant Shane light their faces with one of our lights so their skin and Jennifer's dress wasn't completely washed out in green.
