FIRST DANCE AT SALVATORE'S ITALIAN GARDENS

Happy Friday and Super Bowl Weekend! We hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend!

Keith and Dana's first dance in the Venetian Room at Salvatore's Italian Gardens!

This image is beautiful! We love shooting at Salvatore's! The chandeliers are amazing to have in photos, especially in this room. We could take so many different angles using the chandeliers for the dances. They help to create stunning and timeless images. And the images all can look different depending on where we took the shot.

During the first dances, I always shoot a different lens than Neal. If he is taking super wide shots, I am in for the close up. Even though we could be standing next to each other sometimes, the images will look totally different.

I love this first dance image. I love the interaction between Keith and Dana. They were in their own little world (with a bunch of people watching)!

FIRST DANCE AT RAPIDS THEATRE

Oh how we love Rapids Theatre! Especially for first dance photos!

Kristin and John had their reception at Rapids Theatre. Neal loves that he can work with the lighting crew at Rapids to have the best lighting for the first dances. And no matter which way you turn to take a photo, there is always an amazing back ground. And sure enough, this gorgeous image was captured of Kristin and John. 

Kristin and John had such a beautiful reception. Everything was so elegant and timeless. We wanted to incorporate that same elegance into the first dance photos as well!

TERRACE ROOM FIRST DANCE

Here is another image from Kristin and Jared's wedding at Statler City. Their reception was in the Terrace Room. This is my favorite room there. I love the giant windows and chandeliers.

Kristin and Jared were such a fun couple as well. Jared was such a joker and always had everyone laughing and smiling. 

This was taken during their first dance. And you probably guessed right if you thought Neal took this. He sure did! He loves taking these wide shots. Their dance was at a great time too. There was some beautiful light coming in the windows. But, I like how you can still see all of the lighting inside. Once again, it gives a nice warm glow.

TAKING CENTER STAGE!

If you did not already know, it's prime play season here in Buffalo at Shea's Performing Arts Center.  People from all over come to the theater to watch some amazing shows come to life on stage.  This image is from a point of view that the audience would not normally see.

This beautiful couple chose to have their wedding reception at Shea's.  The reception actually took place on the stage. The guests got to experience the thrill of being on stage, if only for one night! Here, the Bride and Groom are having their first dance. The curtain is up, the spot lights are on, and all eyes are on the happy couple! What a dream come true! With this shot in mind, Neal asked the couple to just dance right in the center and he would take care of the rest. This angle captures the beauty of Shea's. You get to see the entire theater, with it's amazing ceilings, beautiful chandeliers, different seating levels, and the couple right in the heart of it all. What more could a photographer ask for!
