BOUQUET AND SHOES

Oh how I love wedding details! Kelsey's bouquet and shoes were just beautiful!

Kelsey got ready at Salvatore's Garden Place Hotel. We know there are a lot of places to get awesome reflections at the hotel. It all comes down to my shoe obsession. I am a sucker for some sexy shoes! That's why you keep seeing shoes on the blog! Pair it with the flowers, even better!

Kelsey had some amazing Christian Louboutin's (once again, the wrong size for me). We placed them next to her gorgeous bouquet and added some light to get a great reflection. I absolutely love how the pop of red from the shoes looks! The neutral colors in the flowers are just glowing!

A BRIDE AND HER MAIDS!

Calling all pretty ladies!

Let's celebrate the New Year with Kelsey and her ladies! This was after the ceremony at Salvatore's Garden Place Hotel. Neal and I dragged over some of the couches from the foyer and had the Bridesmaids take a seat. Then Kelsey took front and center! They all look stunning.

The ceremony was over and the girls were ready to strike a pose and have fun. I love how one of the girls is holding out her flowers. They had fun with it and did whatever they wanted. We like to put people in the best light and let them have fun. These ladies did not need any direction!

Hey all, Neal here! New for 2016 I am adding some insight to some blog posts of what I did technically to create some of the images. For this image I placed the ladies in this spot of the foyer because it had beautiful natural light coming through the diffused skylights above. I put a light behind the Bride to separate her from the background. I shot this around 70mm at 4.0 to get everyone in focus but add a little blur the busy background which helps the girls stand out even more. - Neal

HAPPY U.S. OPEN from Park Country Club!

For all you golf lovers out there! We hope you are enjoying the U.S. Open! Here's an image for you!

This was done at Park Country Club. Nick and Lauren had their photo session at the Club. It was great! We got to go all over the course in golf carts with the wedding party. This was done on one of the fairways. (there were no golfers on this one). All we wanted was for the wedding party to walk toward us with Nick and Lauren leading the way. This green was perfect because the club house was in the background. And it is such a beautiful club house. 

There is really no set up or posing for a shot like this. We just made sure the Bride and Groom were always leading the way in center. Then it's up to everyone else to have fun. Everyone was talking, laughing, and looking around. The Groomsmen were telling jokes! We had Nick and Lauren hold hands. They were laughing and looking at eachother. It was exactly what we wanted! Everyone did an awesome job!

.....And we're back and it feels so good!

Not that we went anywhere, but the blog has remained idle for the past 11 months and it was finally time to start posting again.

Now that we have a brand new bright and airy 2,400 square foot studio space located in the Tri-Main Center Buffalo, New York, we felt this was a good time to change everything up. We redesigned our website, our logo, social media sites, marketing material, blog, our prints and albums. Everything needed to upgrade!

With that being said, the blog needed a facelift and an update! Danielle is taking over the blog and together Neal & Danielle are going to mix things up a bit. This isn't going to be just another blog where you see the same old stuff. We don't want to give anything away too soon but everytime you visit this page there will be something new for you to experience!

Buffalo Wedding Reception - Salvatore's Italian Gardens

Today's image was taken at Salvatore's Italian Gardens in Buffalo, NY. The story behind this image is that our Bride is a HUGE Disney fan. Her favorite Disney movie is "Beauty and the Beast". The color theme to her wedding matched the colors in the movie. She even brought Disney props to their Engagement Shoot. It was fitting that I pull off a Fairy Tale kind of shot for her. I wanted to shoot this at an angle that's not often seen at a popular location. I also wanted to light her in a way that put the spotlight on her to separate her from the busy scene. The lighting ads a little magic and mystery to the image. This is an image that has a story behind it and it's personal to the client which is what makes the image so special. - Neal
