CARNIVAL FUN!

Melissa and Justin are getting married tomorrow!

This is from their engagement session! We did some photos around Clarence Town Center. At one of the parks, there was a carnival being set up. They brought chalk boards and wanted to get silly! What a perfect spot to do this in the park.

Melissa told us what she wanted the boards to say and I wrote it in. Do not judge the awful handwriting. I did my best on the spot haha! Melissa and Justin have been together for a very long time, so Melissa said this image summed it up perfectly!

We can't wait to capture more amazing and fun moments at Melissa and Justin's Wedding tomorrow!

Congratulations Melissa and Justin!

DISTINGUISHED GENTLEMAN

You recently saw two pictures of Amy getting ready. Well here is her husband, Robert!

Doesn't he look great? He looked awesome getting ready at Hotel at the Lafayette. Even though he wasn't in a suite like Amy, he still had beautiful images taken. All Neal needed was a blank wall and a tiny window with beautiful light pouring through. The guys getting ready are pretty simple. Adjust shirt sleeves, button up your coat! That's most of the detail. (well from most of our weddings). But, the men can still have just as good of images as their brides. The same ideas apply as well. We still put the groom in the best lighting we can find!

Wedding at Hotel Lafayette Camera 2

Yesterday, you saw an image of Amy from Neal's angle. Here is the same shot, but from my angle.

This was inside of one of the suites at Hotel at the Lafayette. Neal had Amy pose facing the window. From his view, she was framed within the window panels. My angle was up closer and off to the side. I wanted her to be completely surrounded by the light, to give a blown out look. I love how this image feels angelic.

Having two people taking photos is always a benefit. Neal and I are taking images of the same style of pose, but the images look completely different.

Wedding at Hotel Lafayette Camera 1

All I can say is WOW! This image is so beautiful.

Amy and Robert got married at the end of August. They both got ready at Hotel at the Lafayette. In Amy's suite, we moved out some of the furniture to expose as much room as we could near the windows. It was a beautiful day and there was so much light coming through the windows. We had Amy pose facing the window with her flowers. She looked down to her flowers and that was it! The light surrounding her also made the floor look like it was glowing. What a breath taking image from Neal!

Check in tomorrow to see another angle of the same image taken by me!

RING SHOT SUNDAY

This ring shot was taken at Melissa and Mary's Wedding!

They both had amazing rings. They had an ombre pink color scheme. We wanted to incorporate come of that color for their rings. We used some pink satin that was part of their table decor and made it have a flowy effect. With some added light, their ring shot was complete!

Happy Wedding Day Kristi and Adam! Here is one more from their engagement session from Delaware Park!

To continue taking cover from the rain (if you tuned in for yesterday's blog, it was rainy and gloomy for their session), we walked over to the Albright Knox Art Gallery. While Neal was scouting out some different areas of the gallery, I got to sneak in and do a few quick shots with Kristi and Adam. I just asked them to face each other and I shot from a very low angle to get more of the pillars. I literally had about 10 seconds before Neal called them over. But I was very happy that I snapped off a few shots!

Congratulations Kristi and Adam!

FUN IN THE RAIN

Kristi and Adam are getting married on Saturday! We are so excited!

The weather was not 100% on our side for Kristi and Adam's engagement session. We started at Delaware Park and it was sprinkling out and sort of gloomy. We gave them the option to reschedule, but they were up for the challenge. They knew we would get some great images and of course we took advantage of the rain.

We had them take cover under a tree with the Albright Knox Art Gallery in the background. We had them pose behind a section of flowers so some color would be in the foreground. This moment between Kristi and Adam was great. They were just talking and laughing and not even worrying about the rain. During that time, Neal got this shot of them laughing with huge smiles on their faces. What a great moment!

And we did continue to shoot and the weather cleared up for them! You can see one of the images we posted on the blog a while ago that was taken at the Richardson Complex when the clouds broke up.

Happy Wedding Eve!

VIEW FROM ABOVE

This is Dana and Joelle's first dance! Their wedding and reception were at the Buffalo Historical Society.

The venue is beautiful inside. I love the balcony! It surrounds the entire first floor reception area. Guests were watching Dana and Joelle's first dance from the balcony. What a great view! I really like how this was a real moment and not something staged. We didn't ask guests to go upstairs and watch.

Dana and Joelle had amazing friends and family. You can see the joy, love and excitement in everyone's faces.

FLOWER GIRL FUN!

Isn't this adorable!? These little ladies were the flower girls in Melissa and Mary's wedding! To make it more meaningful one of them was their daughter!

We did most of the photos at Hotel at Lafayette. There are subway grates outside of the building that have a Marilyn Monroe feel! When you walk over them your dress flies up! Well, these little girls walked over them and had no idea that air comes up from them. Their dresses flew up and they started laughing like crazy! This moment between the two of them is absolutely priceless!

STUNNING BRIDES

I am just amazed by how stunning Melissa and Mary are! I can't stop looking at their images. They got married a few weeks ago at the Hotel at Lafayette.

It was so exciting to be able to photograph two different getting ready portions. They both had different rooms and completely different styles of dresses. Hair and makeup were gorgeous. It was hard to not take a good photo. We love shooting at the suites at Hotel Lafayette. They have beautiful giant windows and awesome furniture.

As you can see, we did sitting poses with both Melissa and Mary. But, they are so different. Melissa is a bit more dramatic with holding her dress. Mary is subtle and mysterious. Both rooms had great lighting coming in. Words cannot express how beautiful these ladies were to photograph both inside and out. They were so much fun to work with too!
