WOODLAWN BEACH MATERNITY

We had an amazing maternity session last night with Lindsey and Cory at Woodlawn Beach State Park! Lindsey's only requests were dramatic skies and her dress flowing in the wind. Her requests were definitely met!

The skies were so pretty when we arrived at the Beach. Off in the distance, the clouds were a dark gray and moving our way. And it was super windy. It felt like a storm was on the way! The sun was also setting and parts of the sky were on fire. Lindsey had great dresses as well. The material was so lightweight. At times it was out of control!

We had her pose right on the waters edge. She brought a beach hat. I love accessories. Even though it was getting dark out, I still thought we should use it. We also needed a bit of fill light on her face. I really liked how her dress looked in this image too! I just love everything about it!

WOODLAWN BEACH ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Here are Amanda and Frank! They are also getting married on Saturday. I have the pleasure of shooting their wedding with one of our assistants!

We did their engagement session at the Buffalo Botanical Gardens and then headed to Woodlawn Beach State Park for sunset. We got amazing weather for that day as well! Warm enough for Frank and Amanda to take a walk in the water. Time to take off your shoes and hike up your pants!

I asked them to hold hands and take a walk along the beach. When they got a little ahead of me, I had them stop and have a kiss. I love how Amanda is standing with her back to us, but you can still see her face.

Their engagement shoot was so much fun and I can't wait to photograph their wedding this weekend! Congratulations Frank and Amanda!

ENGAGEMENT SHOOT AT WOODLAWN BEACH

I had the pleasure of shooting Amanda and Frank's engagment pictures with our assistant photographer Leah last week! We started out at the Buffalo Botannical Gardens and headed to Woodlawn Beach State Park for sunset.

We had a beautiful sunset! The beach wasn't busy either, so we could go almost anywhere. I had Amanda and Frank casually walk down the beach for some nice action shots. When they got to a certain point, I asked Frank to pull Amanda in for a kiss and slighty dip her back. This was the image right before the actual kiss. I love it! I think it has a little more dramatic feel. Paired with the colorful sky, it turned out to be an amazing image!

Frank and Amanda get married in June of 2016. I can't wait to capture more beautiful images for them!
