VEIL PORTRAITS

Kelsey and Jarrett had their photos done at Delaware Park. They had a November wedding and we were hoping for a dusting of snow. That didn't happen, so we improvised!

We decided to do some veil style photos. We pulled Kelsey's veil over both of them. Then we let them have a moment. It was great. Jarrett went in for kisses on the lips, cheek, neck, ear. He was having such an intimate moment with Kelsey. Kelsey closed her eyes and just enjoyed. At one point, I do not think they remembered we were there taking photos. It was great!

CANDLELIGHT AT SALVATORE'S ITALIAN GARDENS

Happy Monday everyone! We hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Don't you just love this image? It is from Melissa and Justin's wedding reception at Salvatore's Italian Gardens. We got amazing images all day with Melissa and Justin. We needed to continue the streak into the night. They had a giant head table with candles everywhere. Neal decided we could use those as part of the photo. We had Melissa and Justin have a seat at the table. We placed them where they were framed in from the candles. The music was blasting and the party was going strong, so it was hard to guide them during the photo. They are so natural and have such passion for one another that we let them do their thing and enjoy each other's company. We got some beautiful reactions from them. This was our favorite! The uplighting in the background works so well too. It adds nice contrast to the soft warm glow of the candles.

This image has such an intimate feel. You would never know that we were surrounded by 300 guests at the time we did this!

CASE OF THE MONDAYS!

Time to wake up and get back to work!  That’s not the case here.  Benny the dog is all dressed up for the big day, but doesn’t want to move off the bed. 

For this bride, her dog is the love of her life.  Well, besides her fiance, Nick Salvatore, of course. All she wanted was a photo of her dog with her Valentinos. Women, I know what you are thinking.  How can we put Valentinos anywhere near a dog? Our first reaction was, “I think Benny looks mad, take out the shoes immediately”.  Then he starting dozing on and off and we realized this little guy was just sleepy. It couldn’t have worked out better.  All we needed to do was put the shoes next to him.

You always have to be ready to snap the photo while working with pets. You may only have their attention for a split second. In this image, Neal was ready to take the picture while I got the dogs attention. Treats work well too!  The room had great lighting, so there was no artificial light to distract the dog.  Even after Neal got the shot, Benny did not want to move.  I guess it was time for a nap!
