Love & Laughter

Kelsey and Jarrett are getting married tomorrow!

We go back to their engagement session in the Village of Lewiston. We took a walk around the area and just stopped along the way. We came across these beautiful green vines and had to stop. Kelsey and Jarrett had such a great connection between one another. They were always laughing and smiling.

We can't wait until tomorrow to capture their very special day!

Chasing the light at Knox Farm!

We are taking you back to Tiffany and Colin's engagement session at Knox Farm State Park!

The sun was setting and we were in a hurry to capture it. On the way, the light was pouring in between the barns. We had to stop. Tiffany and Colin faced each other and they were glowing from the sun light. I love their shadows! I love the vibrant red color of the barn, mixed with the dark colors of the clouds. Then there is the blue from the sky peeking through. Everything works so well together and it turned out beautiful!

RAINY ENGAGMENT SESSION

Erica and Justin's engagement session started out beautiful. There was no chance of rain in the forecast and it was pretty mild out. After an outfit change down by the Lewiston waterfront, the wind picked up, and it started to rain. We actually had a few minutes of snow at one point and it was right about the time this photo was taken!

We all made a decision to try and finish the shoot. Well, I am sure glad we did! This image is so cool. We only had Erica and Justin out in the rain for a few seconds and then they took cover. The only building with a roof was the Silo Restaurant. It did the job. Once Neal and I had lighting ready to go, we called them to run out. Erica and Justin had a lot of fun with it too!

I love how the rain/snow mix is all lit up and Erica and Justin have big smiles and laughs. Thank you Erica and Justin for toughing out the unexpected bad weather!

Boat RIDE IN BUFFALO

Erica and Steve are getting married today!

This was taken on their engagement session at the Buffalo Outer Harbor! We did the shoot on their boat. It was so much fun too! They kept it pretty simple. "Neal, whatever you want us to do, tell us!" Steve positioned the boat anywhere Neal needed it to be. He was a great captain!

I love this image with the Buffalo skyline in the background. Erica and Steve had a seat on the bow with their backs to us. They were just talking and goofing around and having a lot of fun. We asked for them to get really close, but with a little separation.

With it being a such a beautiful day, the skyline was very clear. What a fun shoot!

O Captain! My Captain!

Erica and Steve are getting married tomorrow!

Here's an image from their engagement session at the Buffalo Outer Harbor! Steve was captain on the boat, so it was only natural we get him driving the boat. Believe it or not this was not posed, it's an actual action shot of Steve driving the boat and Erica enjoying the ride!  I think this looks like a magazine ad the way Erica is sitting. She is amazing to photograph.

Some whispy clouds were rolling in and the sky was such a pretty blue. Erica and Steve's outfits were perfect for the boat! Everything blended and worked well together!

Neal and I can't wait to photograph their wedding tomorrow!

HOME SWEET HOME

Lindsay and Adam had their engagement session in their hometown of Brockport. They are new home owners and wanted to start their photos there.

They have an old and giant home with amazing woodwork that you just do not see often. A beautiful wooden stairway as well. We had them sit in one room and shoot through the door, almost spying on them. Not many homes are set up like this anymore. Adam and Lindsay were just chatting away and had some great laughs!

SUNSET BY THE WATER

Laura and Dan are back! Sunset in Lewiston!

It was just starting to get chilly out and we knew we needed work fast. The sun was setting and the colors were amazing. We put Laura and Dan on a wooden walkway facing the water and let the magic happen. They interacted with one another so well, it was perfect. With some added light on their faces, we got this beautiful image.

PUDDLE REFLECTIONS

Here is another image from Tiffany and Colin's engagement shoot at Knox Farm.

The weather was amazing and the couple was awesome! We were bound to get fantastic images. Knox Farm is huge. There is always a lot of walking involved when shooting here, but there are so many places to take advantage of. While walking around, we saw this giant puddle and the entire sky was reflecting in it. We knew we had to stop. Tiffany and Colin looked at each other and that was it!

I love this image!

SUNSET AT KNOX FARM

Tiffany and Colin had an amazing engagement shoot and Knox Farm! They had beautiful weather, followed by an amazing sunset.

This was the last shot of the night! The sun was setting and there were puffy clouds everywhere. Not 100% white and puffy clouds, but that did not matter. They definitely made the image more dramatic. It was time to get down on the ground in the mud to get this shot. It was so worth it.

Tiffany and Colin were so much fun to photograph. They had us laughing the entire time. I cannot wait to photograph their wedding next year. It is going to be a blast!

Red Shoes, Red Doors

This is Lindsay and Adam. We recently did their engagement photos in Brockport NY.

The village of Brockport that we shot in is very close to SUNY Brockport College. So, it definitely had that college feel. But the store fronts and buildings were so cool to shoot in front of. We were nearing the end of the shoot when we spotted the red doors on a church. They really stood out. The doors would go perfect with their outfits. Because Lindsay had red shoes on, we wanted them to stand out in the image and tie in with the doors. That is why they are not standing on the top stair! That's the only direction Neal game them because Neal was shooting from across the street, so it was hard to yell directions over the passing cars. Lindsay and Adam became pro's at posing throughout the shoot and we lucked out that they were doing everything naturally.

I think they ended the shoot on a great note with their pose for this image!
