LOCKPORT LOCKS WEDDING

We now take you to the beginning of Jaclyn and Darryl's wedding timeline!

They had their actual ceremony and reception at the Lockport Locks in Tonawanda. We began their wedding story that day with family and friend! Then headed off to Antigua to continue their wedding journey.

This was taken after Jaclyn and Darryl's ceremony. I am not even sure what this building is. It was across the street from the Locks. But a great brick wall covered in ivy. What a great spot for a quick photo.

We switched up a few different poses for this location. We had about 5 minutes left before intros were about to begin. Jaclyn and Darryl had such an amazing connection. It always felt like they were in their own world and didn't even realize we were taking photos. Just beautiful!

ANTIGUA WEDDING PORTRAITS

Today we bring you an amazing image from Jaclyn and Darryl's wedding!

Jaclyn and Darryl had a 2 part wedding. They were married here at the Lockport Locks and had an amazing reception. Then it was off to Antigua for their wedding photo shoot! Yes, we had the honor of going to the Sandals Grande Antigua Resort and Spa for Jaclyn and Darryl's photos! We had the pleasure of documenting this fun couples trip. From casual outfits, bathing suits, and dinner attire, to getting all dolled up for the wedding dress and suit!

This was so much fun! It started out like any normal wedding day for us. I was with Jaclyn for hair and makeup, while Neal was with Darryl for his getting ready. Once Jaclyn was all done, we walked back to the room for her to get ready. We then did a first look! You may be thinking, they are already married. Why a first look? Well, we wanted it to feel like the wedding day all over again so that their album can flow to tell a story. Without a first look then their album would go from their wedding reception and jump to portraits in Antigua. Now we've created new moments so it tells a story of their entire wedding story! And it was amazing! Once they did a first look then it was off to shoot all over the area for sunset.

Thank you to some staff at the Resort, we were pointed in this direction. An old telephone booth down the beach! How crazy is that? What an odd place for a booth. It wasn't just a regular phone booth either, it was like a red one that you see in Europe! Perfect for wedding photos! And Jaclyn and Darryl were up for anything crazy and out of the box. Right up Neal's alley!

Look how much fun this is! With the assistance of Darryl on this, we had him hold a light inside of the phone booth. From there, we added some light on their faces (we actually did some without the addition of light to their faces too). And here you go! This is one favorite (so far)!

AT THE "FROG" POND!

Friday is here! One last image from Ashley and Justin's wedding and Frog Pond B&B.

One of the reasons I picked this image, was to show yet again, another location on the B&B property. I still can't believe how many different areas there were for photos in walking distance of the B&B.

This was also taken right after the ceremony. You know how much we love reflections! This was a great spot for that! And just a beautiful location for more amazing images of Ashley and Justin at Frog Pond B&B.

GROOM GETTING READY

Sorry for the delay folks. I got in the zone of editing a didn't realize a Blog wasn't up.

Today we bring you the handsome Justin! Justin and his guys rented a house right near Frog Pond B&B to get ready. It was such a cool house. It fit the same rustic style as the B&B. There were mirrors everywhere. It was hard to try not to catch ourselves in them. But there was a really fun oval mirror in one of the bedrooms.

I had Justin do some basic getting ready! I loved this one! Justin is actually glancing out of the bedroom door. Well, one of his groomsman made him laugh and this was the best reaction. It was perfect! It is so great to capture real moments!

VINTAGE BRIDE AT THE B&B

Stunning! One word that sums up this image of Ashley taken at Frog Pond B&B

This was taken by one of our assistants, Adelle! She was working with me for Ashley and Justin's wedding at the B&B. I must say, I really love the angle that Adelle captured for this image. Ashley looks amazing! The dress looks gorgeous! I mentioned before that Ashley was great at posing!

Sometimes being the second shooter has it's perks. The main photographer is setting up the shot for what they have in their mind. You see things the main photographer may not see from their location. You can move around to all different spots as well to see different angles. For this image, I think Adelle had prime placement!

FROG POND B&B WEDDING

We are back at Frog Pond B&B with another gorgeous image of Ashley and Justin.

This is the actual B&B. Isn't it so cute! I love the red door. Like I mentioned yesterday, this B&B had so many vintage characteristics. Even the stone work was pretty.

This was taken after the ceremony. We only had about 20 minutes for photos. Ashley and Justin were such troopers. We covered a lot of ground in that time.

Ashley and Justin were so in the moment of being newlyweds. My only instruction to them was where I needed them to stand. Other than that, we told them to pretend we weren't there. They sure did! I know this is further away, so you don't really see their faces up close. I was going for a little more artistic image. But, there were tons of laughs. It was so much fun!

Thank you to Adelle for running around like a maniac carrying the camera gear, helping with the dress, and snapping some shots from different angles in this short time.

BRIDE AT FROG POND B&B

It's Monday. Again. Today we bring you a gorgeous image of the lovely Ashley!

I (with Adelle assisting) had the honor of photographing Ashley and Justin's wedding at Frog Pond B&B in Skaneatles NY. What an amazing venue. The grounds were so pretty. There was a beautiful main house, rustic barns, giant ponds, and these ruins. And all super close to each other.

Ashley and her ladies got ready at Frog Pond. For photos, we walked around the property for some fun images. Ashley's vintage, lace style dress was perfect for the ruins. She was such a natural at posing too. And don't you love that old bike!

Amazing couple. Amazing venue. Definitely more to come for Ashley and Justin's wedding at Frog Pond.

A GREYHOUND KIND OF WEDDING!

Wow! I want to take a quick minute to thank everyone who signed up for our Annual Christmas shoot "Photos for Toys" yesterday! We can't wait to collect so many toys!

And we are back to weddings! Rori and Marc at The Estate at Moraine Farm! Rori and Marc rescue greyhound dogs! Here they are with their 3 pups! They are wearing racing jersey and their numbers are of the wedding day 8/5/16. How cute is that? These dogs were so good! They were a part of Rori and Marc's engagement session and we couldn't wait to capture them in some wedding portraits with Marc & Rori!

Thank you to Rori and Marc for being such a great part of rescuing greyhounds. I know they do a lot for other greyhounds besides their own! It means so much to these dogs to be in a loving environment. And Rori and Marc defintely make that happen!

BRIDAL SUITE IN THE ESTATE AT MORAINE FARM

Why does Monday always feel like it gets here so fast? Well, it's here and we have a beautiful portrait of Rori for you at the Estate at Moraine Farm!

This was right after Rori got into her dress. Neal and I scoped out the main building where she would be getting ready the day before. Once I saw all these windows, I knew Neal would want to use this room. Of course there were tons of tables and one giant heavy table that needed to be moved out of the way. Sure, why not struggle a little (on my end because I am weak), and move the giant heavy table. I knew in the end it would be worth it. But, this was a time where another strong man would have helped greatly! Pretty much Neal did all the lifting and I pretended haha.

Anyway, look at Rori! This is one of my favorites from the getting ready part of the day. She had an amazing vintage style dress. It went so well with this room plus Neal added a vintage style of editing to the image! Stunning!

MORAINE CAVE PORTRAIT!

We are back at the Estate at Moraine Farm with Rori and Marc!

Yesterday you saw this same location, but in it's entirety. Rori and Marc were standing in front of this little cave. There was already a bench inside this nook that we could use to give a another look for the same location. Bonus!

We had Rori and Marc snuggle up and get close. Once again, we had to add backlight and some on their faces. We had them have a little more of a serious moment too! We don't ask for serious too often. Your wedding day is all smiles. But, for some, it works better overall in the photo.

I really like the ivy that is covering the stone on the outside of the cave. Then it is neat and clean with the stone exposed inside. Good thing or else Rori and Marc could have been lost in there!
