B&G of Park Country Club

Lauren and Nick just celebrated their first anniversary! Happy Anniversary!

This image was taken at Park Country Club. It was on one of the golf cart paths. It was beautifully lined with giant trees. After stepping aside a few times for the golfers to pass, it made a perfect place to take cover from the bright sun and heat.

We wanted to start off the portrait session with a simple set of shots. We had Nick and Lauren stand next to each other and a nice smile for the camera. Pretty standard. But there was nice light coming through everywhere, so it made a bright, airy, and beautiful shot.

Happy Anniversary to Nick and Lauren!

MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL...

Doesn't Jillian look beautiful? Jillian and Patrick were married in August of last year.

This was taken when Jillian was getting ready. Neal and I were on our way out the door to head to the church, when we saw this great mirror. It was near the front door, and amazing light was coming in. We had Jillian posed in the mirror and had her glance away over her shoulder. Everything from the details in her dress to the details in her bouquet look really amazing!

I really love mirror shots. They can be so beautiful and look very timeless!

SHOE SCONCE SUNDAY!

I love this shoe shot from Laura and Tim's wedding a few years ago.

Laura got ready at her parent's house. We always take a walk around to scope out the area for shot ideas. They had an amazing house. Neal and I both walked by these light sconces and had the same idea to hang the shoes. We took the picture first without turning the light on. But once we hit the switch it looked really awesome!

I love it!

Wedding shoot at Niagara Square

Laura and Mike recently celebrated their third wedding anniversary!

Here is a beautiful image that was taken on their wedding day at Niagara Square in Buffalo. Niagara Square was pretty busy with weddings that day. There were already some wedding parties taking photos at City Hall when we arrived. We decided to go to the other side of the Square away from the crowd. This image is a little different than you are used to seeing. Mike and Laura are posed almost like statues facing eachother. That is all we wanted them to do. We were going for a different style of photo. Mike is a very funny guy! To get him to be still and not talk was not so easy. Once Mike got Laura laughing we were all laughing. We got some great candid reactions.

After everyone calmed down, this shot turned out beautiful. We had Mike and Laura stand directly in the center of the fountain. Which was also the center of City Hall in the background. Neal was able to incorporate both historic landmarks without getting any other weddings in the photo.

I really like this image. I think Mike and Laura were the perfect couple for this shot!

Happy Anniversary Mike and Laura!

ROMANCE AT THE NAVAL PARK

We had the pleasure of shooting Jennifer and Tim's wedding last year. They were such an amazing and caring couple. We got some beautiful and sentimental images throughout the entire day.

Tim served in the military. So for part of their photo session, we went to Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park. We got to board the ship with the wedding party for some awesome photos. We got some really fun photos with everyone. Then we sent the wedding party away and worked with just Jennifer and Tim. Here they are standing on the front of the ship. Neal is taking the photo from land. We had Jennifer stand in front of Tim and take his face in her hand. This is a very romantic pose. Paired with the dark skies and ship, it made for a dramatic photo. It almost feels like they are at sea too!

When taking the shot, Neal wanted to make sure that the American Flag was also very prominent in the photo. Besides being a beauitful image, it has so much meaning to Tim and Jennifer.

Thank you Tim for serving our country! And to Jennifer and Tim for being an amazing couple to photograph!

LETCHWORTH STATE PARK WEDDING!

Angela and Tanner were married at the Glen Iris Inn at Letchworth State Park. This is a beautiful location for for a wedding. And a great place to take photos.

The main location most people want their photos done are with the waterfall in the background. We already took advantage of that and wanted to try something from a different view. We took a little walk away from the crowd of people to where the waterfall was actually flowing down. There was an overlook we put Angela and Tanner in. We asked Tanner to have a seat on the edge and pull Angela in for a kiss.

We got a wonderful landscape by having Angela and Tanner off to the side in the shot. You can still see the waterfall and all of the trees in this beautiful spot.

A KISS AT ST. MARK'S R.C. CHURCH

This image was taken from Renee and Patrick's wedding at St. Mark's RC Church in Buffalo.

This was done after the ceremony and family portraits. We asked everyone if they could kindly exit the church so we could get this amazing shot. St. Mark's is a beautiful church and we wanted to take advantage of it! Neal had Renee and Patrick walk down the aisle toward the doors. He was taking photos as they were walking out and then asked them to stop in the entrance and have a kiss.

The light coming through the doors was so nice at this time. I love how they are backlit. I also love that you can see some of the bows that were on the church pews for the ceremony. (I love details!)

Sometimes we get some amazing images from the church or location of the ceremony. We don't always hurry out before checking everything out!

MELISSA, BELLA, AND VERA WANG!

We hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! Today's image was from Melissa and Joe's wedding in 2012. It was an amazing wedding!

Melissa's dog was such a cutie. Her name was Bella. She made her appearance quite a bit during the getting ready part of the day. It was great. Melissa wanted photos with Bella after she was ready. I was freaking out because she was wearing a Vera Wang wedding dress. I asked Melissa if she was sure she wanted the pick up the dog in her dress. She said she wouldn't have it any other way!

There was amazing light coming in this room. And it was giant, so we had a lot of room to work. Melissa's train was amazing and we wanted to show that off as well. We had Melissa sit down and we brought in Bella. Bella was so happy to see Melissa! She went right in for kisses! It was perfect!

We were so happy to capture some amazing moments with Melissa and Bella. Bella did pass away and we knew how much Melissa loved her. But, they did just welcome their first child recently. Congratulations Melissa and Joe!

THERE'S ALWAYS ROOM FOR CAKE!

Here is the cake from Beth and Brian's wedding last year at Park Country Club. The cake was done by Muscoreil's Fine Desserts, Gourmet Cakes, and Bistro.

This giant gold six tier cake was amazing! (it tasted just as amazing too) There was so much detail put into this cake. I think we took about 100 photos of it. Even the cake stand is beautiful. The design on the stand is very similiar to the design on the cake. This image was so great because the cake fits right in the archway that is in the background. There is also and hint of uplighting above the cake!

Overall, a beautiful cake shot done by Neal!

VINTAGE BRIDE OUTSIDE THE BUFFALO CLUB

Happy Hump Day! Hope everyone is enjoying their week so far! Here is another image from Colin and Donielle's wedding that was in June of this year.

Their wedding was at Asbury Hall right in the middle of the Allentown Art Festival. When working our way through the festival for photos we decided to stop in front of the Buffalo Club. It is a beautiful building with amazing iron gates. That's all we needed for some great photos.

The iron gates looked amazing with Donielle's vintage wedding dress. She was very tall and a dancer, so posing was no issue for her. We told here where she needed to be and that's it! People walking by in the art festival thought we were doing a magazine photo shoot. Little did they know, it was a real wedding happening with a real Bride and Groom. It made Colin and Donielle feel famous!

It was a lot of fun and we took advantage of the same area with the wedding party as well!
