RIDING IN BENTLEY TO A RECEPTION!

Happy Anniversary Melissa and Joe! They recently celebrated! I bet you are wondering how this image came to be?

Well, we just finished up Melissa and Joe's photo session at a private residence. There was a Bentley convertible waiting for them to drive to their reception. Yes...a Bentley! Neal had a bright idea to ride with them and get action shots. If you are familiar with the Lewiston area, we had to drive up Lewiston hill toward Niagara Falls Country Club to get to the reception. Neal was riding in the backseat of the Bentley. I was driving behind him in my old Toyota Rav 4. I was a bit jealous. Before you know it, I see Neal almost standing up in the back seat taking pictures ahead. Joe was going pretty fast too. My poor car couldn't keep up. All that was going through my head, was "Neal don't fall out". And I wish I could have got a picture from my view. But there were too many other cars on the road to risk crashing. Maybe next time!

Neal got a sequence of images during his ride with Melissa and Joe. This was one of our favorites. Melissa is slightly looking toward Joe and holding her veil. While Joe is concentrating on driving..really really fast. In the end, it was a pretty cool shot and great idea!

Happy Anniversary Melissa and Joe!

FIRST DANCE AT AVANTI MANSION

This is from Ashlee and Michael's wedding!

They had a great wedding! We started off with their first look at Shea's Performing Arts Center. What a great location to see each other for the first time. And to do photos! Then we headed to Avanti Mansion where they had their ceremony.

This was taken during Ashlee and Michael's first dance. I love the dance floor at Avanti Mansion. I really like how they put the tables on both sides and keep the middle open. We asked Ashlee and Michael to dance right in the center. I love this because it also shows all the guests watching as well! It is such a beautiful first dance image!

A Horse & Buggy Escort

Here is another image from Rene'e and Tommy's wedding!

Tommy surprised Rene'e with a horse and buggy after their ceremony at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph Church in Niagara Falls. He had it waiting outside the church. She had no idea and was so excited! What a great surprise!

They had their photos done at Niagara Falls State Park. The horse and buggy even escorted them from the church to the Falls! They got to enjoy some time together alone (well Rene'e son joined them haha), before their photos and reception.

Once we arrived at the Falls, we had the horse and buggy for a few more minutes to do photos. We had Rene'e and Tommy stand in the buggy and get really close to each other. Then they almost go in for a kiss! We lucked out that none of the tourists photo bombed the image because it is super busy down there. I think what makes this image really nice too, is the stance of the horse. It almost looks like the horse is in motion.

I love this and can't wait to go through the rest of their images!

Here is an image of Dave and Kristine! It was taken by Leah at the Theater District in downtown Buffalo!

After the photo session at Delaware Park, Dave and Kristine wanted to go to the Theater District really quick for a few shots! Leah jumped on the trolley to take the photos as I headed to Brookfield Country Club to get set up for the reception!

This image is great! I love where Leah put Dave and Kristine. The sign is prominent while the buildings in the background are beautiful! Buffalo architecture is amazing. Dave and Kristine are in a nice simple pose. Your eyes are still drawn to them. I love how she tied everything in! Neal edited this photo to give it a bright, airy and vintage touch that matched the style of their wedding.

A BEAUTIFUL WEDDING AT NIAGARA FALLS

Today I bring you an image from Rene'e and Tommy's wedding. They were married on August 15th!

Rene'e and Tommy are such a fun couple to work with. We did their engagement session last year and it was a blast. They are always laughing and have so much passion for each other. We went to Niagara Falls State Park for their photo session. It was mobbed with tourists. Everyone goes right to the falls. But we found a nice place that was a bit more private.

They had a beauitful day. The sun was out and it was hot! The garden of flowers that we decided to shoot at were amazing. The colors were so vibrant. We originally had Rene'e and Tommy standing in front of the flowers. It was nice, but switching them to the other side looked much better. Having the flowers in the foreground made the image pop. We didn't need to pose them. They naturally reacted to one another! It was a beautiful moment between them!

Wedding at the Buffalo History Museum

Happy Anniversary Alicia and Elliott! This image was taken at the Buffalo History Museum in Buffalo.

The Buffalo History Museum and Japanese Gardens are a very popular place for wedding photos. You usually have to wait your turn to take photos. For Alicia and Elliott we didn't have to wait at all. We lucked out! They had a beautiful day as well. That only made the photos better!

In the past, we have shown images that were more close up on the Bride and Groom. Neal actually really likes to shoot at very wide angles. I think this is so pretty with the History Museum being very prominent. We had Alicia and Elliott stand on the edge and look off across Hoyt Lake (that is right across from the building). Some of the prettiest images can be wider shots where the Bride and Groom appear smaller.

Happy Anniversary Alicia and Elliott!

BRIDEMAIDS AND BUBBLES AT SHEA'S

Bubbles can be fun for all ages! Even for some Bridesmaids! This is Julie and her ladies at Shea's Performing Arts Center before her wedding reception.

This was so much fun to do. I was standing above the girls and taking care of the bubbles falling all over them. We told the girls they didn't need to do any posing. All they needed to do was have fun. And they sure did. Once the bubbles started falling they began singing and dancing. They were laughing and having a great time. We loved the natural reactions we got. This was my favorite in the series!

LOVE AT AVANTI MANSION

Megan and Charles got married last year at the Avanti Mansion. They had their ceremony and reception there. This was the last shot of the night!

The Avanti Mansion has a really nice patio outside of the main ballroom. There are pillars that lead outside to the rest of the grounds. We had Megan and Charles stand right in the center of the pillars. We asked them to get really close to one another. Almost close to kissing. With a little help from some external lighting, we created this beautiful image!

NIGHT TIME BY THE DOCKS!

This image was done at the end of the night for Elisa and Dave's wedding last month. Their reception was at the Four Points Sheraton in Niagara Falls.

There was a great dock outside of the venue. There were a bunch of clouds covering the sky. As we were setting up another shot, the clouds started to break up. The moon began to peak out and it was perfect for this photo. Here we have Dave leaning up against one of the dock posts and he brought Elisa into his arms. We had them go in for a kiss originally. But we loved when they separated from each other. The moment was beautiful. If you look close, you can see the North Grand Island Bridge in the background. A nice added bonus!

FLOWER LADIES!!!

I absolutely love this! Julie and Ben got married two weeks ago. Julie is very very close to her grandmother. So, instead of little flower girls, they chose to have both of their grandmothers be the flower girls! Or should I say flower ladies!

They had so much fun with it as well. They each had metal buckets full of flowers. As they were walking down the aisle, they were throwing flowers at the guests sitting in the church pews. There were laughs all around the church. After they completed the task of "flower girl" a bottle of wine was waiting for each of them on a job well done!

What a cute idea from Julie and Ben!

PS. Did you know that we offer a special incentive if you wish to have an "unplugged wedding"? Todays image is a very mild sample of how guests cell phones can tarnish a beautiful photograph. Can you imagine this image if there weren't any cell phones and just peoples real reactions to this moment? Luckily this image wasn't ruined by the cell phones but there are so many that get deleted or we don't take because cell phones appear in the shot or are covering peoples faces. If you'd like to know more information please feel free to ask. Yes, we are paying our clients in prints so that we can take better photos! Win! Win!
