MORE ACADIA NATIONAL PARK

This is the actual Jesup Trail in Acadia National Park. If you read yesterday's post you saw the beautiful image leading up to this trail.

I am not going to lie, I really like the path leading up a bit better. It's so crazy how we just turned a slight corner to get on the bridge for the trail and everything looked completely different. This image does not have as many colors and not as much light comes through the trees. It definitely had an eerie feel to it. It was very quiet. Almost too quiet! We were hoping for a moose to walk through, but no luck this time!

ACADIA NATIONAL PARK

Even though we are out and about working, we took a little side trip to Acadia National Park!

It was beauitful and very cold (no snow though)! On the drive down, we planned a few spots we knew we wanted to visit. Neal loves Birch Trees and this was the place to be to see thousands.

This was my favorite spot. It is on the way to Jesup Trail. I say on the way, because we haven't reached the actual trail yet. But isn't this just amazing? If only we had a bride to run through. Sorry, I didn't pack my wedding dress for this trip. I think that may be a staple travel item from now on!

The colors are just beautiful. The sun is hitting the right side and making the colors so vibrant. The sun is just kissing those trees on the left making them stand out. It was such a magical place to see. I can't wait to see this in a metal print that will be hanging in the studio some day in the near future!

THE PAINTED LADIES IN SAN FRANCISCO

This is one of my favorite landscape images by Neal. Yes! These are the famous "Painted Ladies" in San Francisco, CA. They are featured in the beginning of the show "Full House". Can you pick out which house was theirs?

It was pouring out that day. We drove around San Francisco for a long time looking for these. We had already been to Lombard Street (the famous curvy street in California). Having to stand in the rain for an hour was not fun. So, once we got to the Ladies, I was not getting out of the car and climbing up that hill. Boy, do I regret that now. I missed this amazing site. I had no idea that downtown San Francisco was that visible behind the houses.

I was waiting and waiting in the car wondering what was taking Neal so long. When he got back to the car, I asked if he got what he wanted. He said, "Wait until you see it." He edited the image right when we got back to our hotel and showed me. My response was, "It's amazing! Can we go back, so I can see it in person?" That did not happen. I made sure from then on, to always get out of the car when Neal has an idea!

We have a huge canvas of this in our studio if anyone wants to see it in person!
