Our wedding season starts this weekend! Sorry I don't have much to report lately. The rainy weather is perfect for keeping me indoors as I try to complete all of my computer work.

Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 4:07PM Allow me to introduce everyone to our new niece and goddaughter! Thanks to Apple's Facetime we are able to see her from over 2,000 miles away. She doesn't have much to say now but we look forward to many more talks in the future!
Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 5:33AM I had a fun engagement shoot yesterday with Vanessa & Anthony. I should warn my clients beforehand that when you shoot with me, do not buy new shoes!
The first thing I made Vanessa & Anthony do was climb up and down a gigantic hill that was a little on the muddy side. The photo below was one of the first shots of the day. After the photo was taken Vanessa took her shoes off and started to walk barefoot. I looked at Vanessa's shoes that were muddy and made a comment: "Oh boy, I hope those shoes aren't your favorite pair?" And she replied: "No, they're brand new!"
Ohhh noooo.... I felt so bad. She was a great sport about it. She just kept smiling because she now has an excuse to go shopping for a new pair!
For now on, if you're going to shoot with me, bring a pair of sneakers that you can slip on and off. I tend to find locations that are off the beaten path, literally!
We were lucky that the rain held off until we were done shooting. I got a lot of good photos from this shoot so I'm sure I will post more in the near future. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Todays photo(s) of the day are from one of my favorite highlights from the 2010 wedding season! The photos are from my cousin Rachel's wedding when we went to her husbands golf course he used to work at.
The entire wedding party got golf carts. Danielle and I were in the front leading the pack of 12 golf carts. We were driving down a steep hill, I looked behind me to make sure everyone was following and noticed that a few golf carts decided to take an alternate route!
Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 8:29PM Happy Thursday everyone! The weekend is almost here. We've been looking over our wedding schedule and we have some really amazing weddings with some amazing people this season. I can't wait to capture some magic this year!!
Today we met with a wedding planner for our own wedding. I never thought we would go with one, but she will be planning our reception here in New York while we are getting married in California. If you want weight off your shoulders and less stress then I highly recommend going with one!

Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 4:48PM Unfortunately our hectic schedule doesn't allow us to shoot many portrait sessions anymore. Our season starts next week so we're trying to fit in as much as we can.
This is Mia. She's 6 months old and LOVED the camera! Here she is sitting at Daddy's computer desk.

Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 11:54PM Yesterday Danielle's brother and sister-in-law welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world!
They live in California and we saw her live thanks to Apple's Facetime. It felt like we were there in person and living in an Apple commercial. It was really emotional to see something so small and precious from over 2,000 miles away. Gotta love technology!
I cannot wait to meet my goddaughter in person!!

Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 2:23AM How cool are these?? Yesterday I got a package from WPPI (click here to get the back story). Inside the package were three of my awards. This was my first photo competition I competed in so you'll have to excuse my excitement! I can't wait to find somewhere to hang these beauties in my studio!

Todays photo is fitting for a Monday. It's Samantha getting ready in her old bedroom at her parents house. Usually there are a handful of bridesmaids in the room. It's often loud and crazy. Samantha's bridesmaids stayed downstairs and I got to capture Samantha getting ready. It was serene and beautiful.
